I had this happen on the the way back from Bimmerfest. I'm pretty sure that it was a combination of shitty NJ roads and a massive dip in the road on I95 that we hit at about 90 mph on the way down.

Now we're trying to figure out what to do:
I don't know whether I trust the other 3 wheels as these wheels have seen a lot of track time by the PO of Kpro's car. Also the wheels need to be refinished and I don't know if that can even be done..
The wheels aren't that expensive but they only come in offset for the 1 series which means I'd still have to use the spacers. I'm debating buying 4 new ones and getting them powder coated the same color. These wheels are low pressure cast but made in China. I really like the way they look on the car though...

The other wheel I'm looking at are OZ Formula HLT. These are also low pressure cast but with a few strengthening enhancements. I think these will look pretty good on my car too...

What do you guys think?

I love those wheels. What are the sizes/offsets?

I prefer the look of the ones you have over the OZ.

I'm not a fan of a center lock design when the car does not use a center lock system.

Please tell me that original BMW wheels would never do that.

Those OZs look awesome. But so did the breytons. If saving cash is a concern, get a breyton. If not, droooooool over some new OZs!

Haha, I wish I could! The place where I get my wheels fixed said that the BMW 6 series wheels are the worst... they are always getting them in for crack repair.

This is my dilemma!

M135s have been known to bend and crack here in SF. I've seen them with my own eyes.

Rob, the style of the wheels you have now are great, but for me its the finish and color that really catches my eye.

Werd! I have cracked 2. Had one welded at a wheel shop and other one I cut out the crack and filled it with epoxy. I don't think I drive them that hard but they have a lot of miles, and not sure how many previous owners they had, since I don't think all 4 of them are the originals that came with my car.

Just a thought; it may be covered by your insurance, so it may be worth the call.

Rob, OZ wheels are historically soft and bend easily...I am not sure if they have changed things and become better

Mine are at least 8 years old with 90k or so miles on them. No bends. The finish isn't the best though. Coating seems to be a little soft. Chad is running OZs as well. Not sure if he's had any issues.

I like the look Rob. Sorry to hear about that breaking on you

I think I'm going to just replace the two fronts... If I can find someone to powdercoat them correctly...anybody know a good powdercoater in the mid-Atlantic region?

I'm rockin the stock wheels with 10mm spacers for now... the other wheels will be on hold for a while since we just had babies...

Looks good Rob. Ive toyed around with ideas in my head, but if I wanted to keep stock wheels but wanted to stand out, I'd do something like plastidip them dark gold. Like classic Subaru blue with gold wheels gold.

I'm still going to get the Braydons redone... I just gotta find someone that knows how duplicate the color. No luck so far

Update: we found the original powder coater in Cleveland and bought 2 new fronts. Unfortunately there was some miscommunication and the wheels got done in black chrome instead of bright chrome so now I have black wheels. I'm not a fan of black but the 3 step powder coating was expensive as hell and I can't afford to have them redone. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/25/vu3ajyda.jpg

Thanks Dane I'm still getting used to them... I didn't really want to go for the murdered look... the only thing left that's not black or CF is the kidney grilles

+1. I think the chrome on our grills is really subtle (compared to an american car) and it is a nice break from all the color and plastic on the front of the car.
