Passenger headlight went out - I've got Bi-xenons. Headlight warning on dash came on indicating headlight is out. *sigh*

Where's the best place to quickly pick up a headlight bulb? Not looking for some 10-million-K super solar white blinding upgrade; probably just looking to buy OEM Philips d2s 4300k or comparable. Do they have them at Home Depot? AutoZone? Is my best bet the Interweb? Just thought I'd ask before I make the rounds to all the places after work.

I think I still have a pair somewhere I'd sell for cheap. Let me know if you haven't bought yet.

Eli - I'm gonna check local stores first because I need them ASAP, but if that fails the first thing I'll do is contact you!

I just got my Philips from them a couple of months ago.

Do not cheap out (eBay). There's a lot of counterfeit bulbs out there.

Is it safe to assume you guys advise against these as well?

For the price, I had to ask.

For the money, those aren't bad. That's what I used.

So after looking into a couple local places: But first, price on retrofit source: $99 for two.

-Home Depot, Didn't have them although they were on the website.
-AutoZone, $100 for one.
-BMW Peabody: get ready for it.... $230 for one!

I think I'd rather get them from the retrofit source, thank you very much BMW.

I've purchased two sets of the khoalty 6k bulbs. First set lasted about three years. For the price they really aren't that bad. It's hard to find a name brand in the color that I wanted in order to match my halos. If you're looking for longevity philips is the way to go though.

I just installed Khoalty 6000K (http://www.khoalty.com/bmw-e46-d2s-xenon-replacement-bulb.html) as well and I really like the color, I agree for the price they're great. The only issue I had and it's probably my fault... one of of the plastic tabs broke on one of my bulbs, they still work though.

Morimoto XB35 (http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=40562) bulbs look good as well.

I bought genuine CBI's off eBay from England a while ago, as long as you have a quality dealer eBay is fine

Don't remember, IIRC $180. Bought a set for both E38 and E46. I'll look and see if I can find the receipt

Edit: it was £180 + shipping per set

Thanks, JP. One of my lights is bluer than the other. I'm not even entirely sure I have ZKWs...but the bulbs should change the fact that I have two colors lol

Just for the record, I have 4-5 D2S bulbs just sitting in a drawer in my garage. If anyone needs one, just let me know. $5 for shipping and its yours.

I'll be in for two Jon :)

Not sure if mine was still in decent shape when we took it apart.
