Well my other gem is up for sale now too

2001 BMW 740i 119k miles

Car is very rare, has true short wheelbase M-Sport Package (18” staggered M Parallel wheels, M 3-spoke steering wheel, sport suspension, sport seats, Steptronic transmission with modified torque converter, Vavona Redwood interior, Shadowline exterior trim and black trim) and Imola Red on Natural interior. Also has Cold Weather package, rear sunshades and Navigation (updated to MkIV navigation). NO burnt pixels in either instrument cluster or NAV screen. Has Dinan software, Dinan intake manifold, window tint, Euro center armrest, license plate delete strip and Umnitza Orion V2 angel eyes. Car is in great shape, super clean, interior is incredible, leather is immaculate. Fully detailed often and parked in a garage.

Have done quite a bit of maintenance in the past year alone (over $5k in JUST PARTS) including:

Automatic transmission fluid and filter and gasket-ZF fluid and true Filtran filter
New timing chain tensioner
Driver’s side and passenger side upper control arms
Driver’s side and passenger side lower control arms
4 wheel alignment
New Power steering pump
New Power steering pulley
Pulley tensioner adjuster
Power steering reservoir/filter
Power steering hoses
Redline ATF for PS fluid
Stoptech cryo finish crossdrilled front rotors
Cool Carbon Ceramic brake pads
Redline 75-90 differential fluid
Replaced the DVD drive on NAV-common issue
Fuel filter
Spark plugs
aFe air filter
New rear side sunshade
Cabin microfilters
New OE windshield wiper blades
2 NEW rear Continental Extreme Contact summer tires

Cooling system overhaul:
New waterpump
New waterpump pulley
New coolant expansion tank, cap and sensors
New thermostat and o-rings
New radiator
New upper and lower radiator hoses
All new BMW coolant
New Serpentine Belt and A/C belt
All gaskets
Oil changes every 3k with synthetic fluids

The only bad is a front brake caliper sticking occasionally, and only occasionally. Just started last week.

Planned on keeping the car for a very long time, and did all the preventative maintenance. Have gone on many trips with the car all over, including Canada and along the east coast and put a lot of miles on it in the past year. Car pulls very strong and seats 4 people in luxury. The E38 7 is arguably one of the last best 7s and this one is VERY rare being a true M-sport in Imola Red. Compliments everywhere you go. All records, manuals and both master keys. Hate to sell.

$11,900 obo

HAHA - well if the 3 and 7 had a baby, it would be a 5 - so my guess is an M5? And my money's on an e39!

Such a steal. That Euro armrest alone is over $300 (assuming you can find one)

Brake sticking is not a big deal, just an opportunity to upgrade to 750 brakes

Was my plan if I kept the car. Along with ST coilovers

Man that's an awesome deal. Wish I had the funds for the practicality alone. Just not sure something that big is good for me.

If you guys can close this thread or delete, whatever you want. Decided I'm keeping my 7! Can't part with it! :)

Good choice!!!

I've been on the lookout for some 750 Highline B-Pillars, do you want me to keep an eye out for you since yours is tan vs my black?

No thanks. Don't want to mod the car anymore. If I start, I won't stop, love the 7 Series chassis too much haha. Leaving mods for the M3. Buuut I may know someone who has some Highline b-pillars for you. I will ask him :) only other thing I want to do to the 7 is bluetooth module.
