The reflective surface for my Xenon lights has "melted" and I am told new ones are $1200 apiece! Can I switch Halogen lights in for the Xenons? How? Anyone done it?

Bro, you don't want to switch back. Plenty of ways to fix this problem. I'm in class, but hopefully someone can give you some links to follow.

Nothing wrong with halogen, you can always put in an eBay HID kit, just as good. :rofl

What I'm saying is, fixing is easier and better than switching back, especially since it's so well documented.

You have ZKW manufactured xenons. The bowls are plastic, and melt over time. You need to get a retrofit...A couple hundred bucks, but it's worth it.

Huh? I read your post wrong. They would be about $1500 for the pair. Retrofit is fiscally smart choice.

Oh okay. I thought you meant that as another option.

I would retrofit, or swap in new bowls from someone. Only a temporary solution until it melts again, though.

It's worth looking around for some at junkyards. I picked up a pair for $500. It's worth a shot.

If you seriously want halogens as a temp solution, I think Lawrence still has his stock ones from before he retrofitted. Message "das boots"

yes, his car came with halogens...
