That is a lot of bandwidth.

I wonder what the major contribution to the extra bandwidth is.

Not sure if it's big enough to occupy a good chunk of it, but Googling ZHP, the first result is a game. So maybe there's some gamers looking for the topic/FAQ/guide/etc.?

Plus, on tumblr (blogging site) ZHP is a tag that's used more for non-ZHP (the car) things. Instead, most of them are used for pictures of people or places and it looks Russian or some other European nationality.

Thought this site used to come up near the top when searching for ZHP. Wonder what that game is. I'll have to run a search to check it out. EDIT: Just did a search, and the mafia was 4th behind the game stuff.

The video game, ZHP, has always been number one. I don't imagine that will ever change.

Not for me. When I search Google for ZHP our site still comes up first.

If I put ZHP in the search bar, I get this:

If I then hit enter, I get this:

#1 in my book.

We are number four when I do it. The video game is the first three links.

I recall it being number 1 in previous searches for me, but not last night.

I wonder if part of the determination is based on your particular usage time/frequency?

I believe that may be part of it. But also based on your search history as well.

We spend an entire week talking about Google searches in one of my classes and I still think its insane how their algorithms work.

Yes. If you use any of the google services Google+, Gmail, etc. as long as you are logged in it uses your search results to help with search results returned. When you do a Google search you can click the gear icon in the upper right, go to search settings then all the way at the bottom you'll see search history.

So... If I'm not logged into Gmail or Google+, I bet my results would differ.

I wouldn't worry about the search results for "ZHP". The mafia is the only car site on the first page so they will either find us or refine the search to "BMW ZHP" (3rd result) or maybe "ZHP forum" (first result). Either way if they are looking for other "ZHP owners" (2nd result) they'll find us. I did anyway.

Do we know who runs this? https://www.facebook.com/pages/BMW-e46-Performance-Package-ZHP-Owners-Club/123491291021531

I think if you do want to go after search results, "e46 forum" or "BMW forum" would be much more fruitful search terms and we aren't on the first page for either of those.

While logged in to Gmail the mafia is my 1st result and the wikipedia article 2nd.

Logged out we are 4th position.

Possibly but Google likes to track users not computers so that sort of cookie data would most likely be purged when you close the browser.

Good question. Who does run this? Show's a guy named Chris Duane as the admin.
