Obviously many details are left out but it might be something interesting for those that spin their own wrenches.

Agree. And the price, given the miles, is right. Do a PPI before buying it and you might have a steal here.

Such a low price. I wonder what the cost for an alternator and 3 window motors is...?

No idea. But for someone who has skill in this area (or a friend who can do the work), this seems like a potentially good deal.

Yes it really does sound like a good deal.

windows need regulators most likely. 120 a pop. Install is an easy DIY. Alternators Ive heard can be up to $700 installed at the stealer (read this in another post elsewhere...have not quoted myself yet). I just read about alternator installs, and it doesnt seem like a super easy DIY.... but you are still only talking about 1k here. This would be a steal if that is all you had to put into it. That's a big IF i just used though......

Correct, David. If that's all that is required, it would be a good deal.

However, here's my caveat: when I see people deferring stuff like this, it makes me wonder what else has been deferred. That's why a good PPI is essential. But, yep, if the only things necessary are the things mentioned, you'd be on to something.

Alternator is a lot easier than it looks. Had to take it out when I did the oil filter housing gasket in the 325. Was straight forward with no major issues.
