According to flatoutclassic.com it's at Heartland Park of Topeka, KS. I'm more tempted to go to a similar event at Mid-Ohio that same weekend (26 - 27 April). Timing just stinks as I have a serious work project going on during that time period.

Yeah my weekend at VIR is the same days too, not that a 15h drive to get to an HPDE is that appealing. Def looks fun though.

this is a great event with a lot of really cool people involved. I went 2 years ago and it was a blast with multiple CCA's from surrounding states in attendance. not only that but there were tons of big horse power cars there including supercharged CTS-V's Evo's E9x M3's with every bolt on imaginable etc. The track has two big straights on it where its not uncommon for the average ZHP to hit 110-120.

I'm driving 900 miles next week to Austin, TX. Going to drive COTA.

A drive like that by yourself is not fun. But as a group things change. I think our caravan to COTA is now 10+ cars.

Our group is talking about doing a trip to the east coast next year. We think we can drive 5 tracks over 10 days.

If you are in the central US seriously consider coming to FOC.

That sounds like a blast. Be sure to post up the schedule as maybe some of us here can attend a few of the events.

I'm a complete greenie, so I need to get a taste of a track in the next 8 months so I can at least get past the virgin stage.

Mike,

The HPDE is Sat & Sun. $329 for 2 days of track time.
The Autox clinic is Sat morning. $79 includes competition
Autox competition is Sat afternoon
Dinner is at 6PM Sat. $20
1/4 mile runs start after dinner. $15 or $25 onsite. Approx 7PM
Car show is Sun. Late morning and early afternoon. Free

We are also offering a Taste of the Track pkg for $75. It is an intro. You get to go to all the classroom session. And ride with an instructor. It's a great way to dip your toe in the water.

Space is limited. The HPDE part of this event will probably sell out.
