I'm browsing around to see what potential upgrades I can put in for my failing end links. I'm seeing multiple types, and am wondering what the difference is between the following:

Standard end link such as Meyle HD

Adjustable end links such as the one from Turner Motorsport

Multiple adjustable end links (Turner mentions that only one is required per car for the adjustable, but it says you can also use two

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I currently have an H&R Cup Kit installed (shocks and springs), so please keep that in consideration.

Go with #2. If you have a good alignment man it will be the best option.

Dane,
Is an alignment going to be required after this??

No....

Heres the dealio for the front.

Camber is adjusted, very minimally with the FSM - Front Shock Mounts. We are not messing with those.

Toe is adjusted with the tie rods. We are not messing with those either.

We are not lowering your car (we can chain/cut the coils if you want though)...

so...with the above said.....swapping out endlinks is a very meaneal task reagrding the suspension.

The only way you would need an alignement...is....if you had the car aligned with bent end links...and even then I don't think it would be affected at all....since really....all the end link does is shift/balance weight to the opposite side of the car when turning.

Sounds good DW.
Now the decision has to be made; adjustable or not.
I'm told I should probably get adjustable so I have more options for auto-x. But, the price is over 3x more...

IDK man. Get the track guys to weigh in. I honestly don't think it will make much of a difference. I could be wrong though.

These are the ones I had for the ZSP....

This sounds like a thread for the track rats over at the track forum.

Not required, but your alignment guy will have more to play with when making CUSTOM adjustments to your car.

I never get custom alignments done; I didn't know that was even possible...

So do I (I just had alignment done yesterday). I was thinking it might be a good time to replace the sway bars with something stiffer...

Any advice on which endlinks I should get? The banging and rattling is getting annoying. :(

What are the differences and can you help link me to a site...I think the last time I checked EAS was a good source? :)

I just replaced one when I did my struts last month. I did the same research and ended up going with OEM BMW. I still have stock springs, that said I don't need adjustable. Other reasons; I found many threads with people wining about going with something special and it didn't last. I personalty trust BMWs quality over many aftermarket products. FYI, I used my impact gun to change it out and it took more time to pull the wheel then change the end link.

So how did those links hold up? Why did you choose them over stock?

Stock would not fit the coilovers i had at the time. Held up great. Coilovers however did not.

So if my plan is to go with coilovers (Bilstein PSS10 or B16, KW V2) when the old set wear out, better to go adjustable?

You can use the rear endlinks for a 2008 Impala SS if you're lowered on KW type coils (short links). The moog part is extremely heavy duty. I've had mine for about 2 years and have yet to hear a clunk. The supplied links died within 3 months, and the velocity motor cars links started clunking after 6.
