Hey guys, I figured I'd make my own thread to track progress, maintenance, money and time lol.

I'll be updating this as I go.

FCABs and RTABs are up shortly.

I've already done a few minor mods that I'll have to "retro-post" here.

I'm looking forward to what the years will bring!

Always a good thing. Got any pics to upload of the car so we know who is getting all the attention? :P

Definitely...I'll upload a pic tonight and fill in some more info about the car, my plans, etc.

As you can see, I've already done clear corners, smoked sides and the matte black kidneys.

Thanks. Like I said, she's a bit rough by enthusiast standards. We tend to pick out the flaws. From a few feet away, it looks great but up close there are some real issues.

Looks like a loose support?

No flame suit required!

Whatever it is, it's broken. Not sure how it happened but it wasn't on my watch. That, along with the cracked /chipped paint on the right side (just above the diffuser) happened to the previous owner. I'm just getting around to fixing it now.

It's been a while and a lot of $$$$ since I last updated this thread lol! I'm working on a spreadsheet detailing all the money spent (I know, bad idea right) and all the maintenance/mods done on the car.

In the meantime, here's a quick list of the fun I've had the past few weeks.

VCG replaced
diff flush
trans flush
FCABs replaced
TRS Retro-Quik projectors
New Tires - Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's

And next on the to do list is front brakes, possibly replacing rotors since there's a pulsation when I hit the brakes. Obviously a flush and new fluid goes with that. Power steering fluid needs a flush too, then new spark plugs. After that, I can look into some suspension stuff...RTABs, maybe some sways and I'll address the coilover vs shock/spring combo debate. And finally....I'll give the cooling system a little love lol.

Number 6 is the whole diffuser. If you can get #18 then you should be able to fix the problem. I would first see if you can fix what you already have with a welder.

Ah, thanks for clarifying. It's plastic piece unfortunately, and if you look at the design, it's likely difficult to repair as the material is at its thinnest at that point.

Plastic weld is an option. Check pricing online. I'm curious.

So that piece ("Water deflector")is like $26 + shipping...although I do have some new tubes of JB Weld in the garage...hmmm, I may try to repair this myself. It just seems kind of ghetto to JB weld it lol.

Well that's pretty cheap. Go for a new one.

yea, figured that...for about $40 shipped, why not.

*edit - just ordered - $35 and changed shipped. Not too terrible.

So my ZHP has been given a lot of love as of late... I replaced that piece above - "Water Deflector".

Today, I went to my local Indy Shop for Inspection II...great bunch of guys, awesome work, just so damn expensive. Such is life w/ these cars, I guess. Would be worse w/ an M3!!!

Anyway, $1300 later:

PS flush
BF flush
Cyclone separator
oil filter housing gasket
oil change
new belts
new pulleys
new tensioners.

I know I said it last time, but from now on, I'm doing as much as I can myself. This is killing my mod budget lol.

Yup, a couple of those are very doable DIYs. What is a cyclone separator?

I belive it's just the ccv system. I looked up the part # and that's what it appears to be.

Best way to stop this paint chipping without a full respray? Someone hit my car in a parking lot just days after I bought it. I'm guessing it was a shopping cart or something similar.
