I've been thinking about getting a warning triangle for my vehicles.

In particular, I've been thinking about getting an OEM illuminated (LED lights) warning triangle from BMW. $49 shipped.

BMW illuminated Warning Triangle (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574947307&toolid=10001&campid=5336776893&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Febaymotors%2FBMW-Illuminated-Warning-Triangle_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZalgoQ3dLVIQ26 ituQ3dUCIQ26otnQ3d5Q26poQ3dLVIQ26psQ3d63Q26clkidQ3 d7362456660536757979QQ_trksidZp5197Q2em7QQcategory Z6779QQitemZ330413325081)

Does anyone have one? If so, does it work well? I'm leaning toward buying it.

Where does it go in the car?

Since it does not fold, I would have to put it in the wheel well of the trunk. Should be plenty of room in there.

Definitely worth it in my book. Anything you can do to help minimize the risk of someone plowing into your disabled vehicle is a good thing.

I'm more interested in whether people think it's gimmicky. I could get a regular triangle that does not have the LED lights.

I guess it all depends on the brightness/quality of the LEDs and reflective material.

Hard to say without someone here who owns one chiming in.

Yeah. That LED triangle seems very bright. You'll definitely be seen.

This being a safety device, I would think that the better it is seen the better it will work.

Plus, what is gimmicky when your on the side of the road? :dunno
