So the wife was gone, the kids were all accounted for, pulled the hose out for a quickie wash, and snapped a couple of shots. I've been driving both the last few days but I'm not the primary driver on either, got to thinking why shouldn't I have one too?!!! And if I did, what are you thinking the color of the 3rd one should be.... 434435

Not fair.

Wish it was warm enough here to wash in the driveway. We had a couple weeks of 40 & 50 degree temps but now it's back to normal.

well, that's where I'm leaning -- AW, alcantara, 6 spd, CW pkg -- expecting it to be hard to find. The one in Mississippi has had the engine replaced, and I'll almost bet it wasn't with a ZHP engine.

Absolutely need 4-doors. Must be Alpinweiß!!!
You already have a convertible and a coupe; complete the package with a sedan in a different color. :)

Alpine White FTW!!!!

My dad has owned many BMWs, and they have/will only be Alpine White. And on a ZHP sedan, few cars look better on the road :)

I've been giving some thought to the SG step coupe changing out -- our son is yearning for gears to row again, fighting his mom for seat time in her IR, 6MT. In spite his opinion, plus me still paying the bills, its a perfect car, no stories at all and in showroom condition. So only will switch out if I were to find the right car at the right deal. Having said that, have been tracking an '06 black, alcantara, 6MT, coupe -- that theoretically could be my son's ride and I'd drive the SG step while searching for the elusive AW.

Come on now. Where are the votes for black, the best color! (if it's garaged and you don't live where it snows/rains a lot of course). John

Mystic Blue COUPE. :p

Not the easiest combo to find though. So far there are only 6 on the registry.

I take it the wife was ok with the Alcantara in her new vert?

My comment was said with tongue in cheek, but a white car can't be that much easier to keep clean than black, eh?

White is much easier....

I've had white and black. It's not even close. White is the easier color I've ever had. Even when it's dirty, it looks off white -- and still looks clean.

Yep-- my 325 was Jet Black. Could see a speck of pollen from 10 feet away. By far the most difficult car to keep looking clean that I ever owned.

On the flip side-- when clean, it looked phenomenal.

But often is a black car truly clean? You have maybe 10 minutes of cleanliness before it gets soiled again (or at least looks soiled because it's black).

It's not that dramatic. You may even get a couple days! :biggrin

A black car is like a crazy girlfriend... when's it's good, it's REALLY good. You put up with the rest of the stuff for those over the top hella crazy good times. When a black car is clean and in the shade, it's stunning, nothing better IMHO.

That might just be the best metaphor ever.
