Hello,

Just asking for some advise on sourcing some interior white LED lights for the BMW E46 sedan... Normally I would simply search but I'm on my third set now:

1) First set from "bmw_led" (ebay) fit, but the LED's did not have heat sinks on the back and after 6 months the lights were burning out. I would hear pops when they would die.

2) Next set from "yitamotor" (ebay) had the heatsinks but 7 of the bulbs did not fit (and could not due to connector design and not only size) despite stating compatibility to E46

I use ebay with high rated power users... but now am willing to pay a little extra for proven longevity (these LED's should last 10+ years damn it!). Anyone that's happy with theirs (with years of problem free service) let me know what vendor/product!

Thanks

Ask William wsmeyer. We bought the same set from eBay and had success. I just don't recall the site. I'll try to find it.

+1. I just installed these in my sedan and I like them a lot. Not too bright, not too dim.

I built an equivalent of the ZIZA kit made with the cheapest eBay LED's and they've been perfect for a year and a half. Here are the formats you need (just going off my order here)

- 7x T10 8 SMD 1206 CANBUS
- 2x 36mm 3 SMD 5050 CANBUS
- 4x 42mm 8 SMD 5050 CANBUS
- 3x 36mm 6 SMD 5050 CANBUS

This covers all interior, trunk and license lights on a sedan (but not the reverse bulbs). Ran me ~$22 shipped.

^ very helpful. There are so many lights on this car!

While we are at it, what's the recommendation on reverse LEDs? I think somone posted an option the other day.

How bright do you want to go?
I have CREE LEDs in my car's rear end.

I have no experience with Khoalty bulbs but yeah, that's the right idea. :thumbsup

I am using a Ziza kit from ecstuning. They have a sale on them usually every December.

No complaints from me.

I have the ecs tuning interior kit and the khoalty reverse lights. I posted a diy for the c pillar lights because they were a pain in the ass.

Just compare the halogen bulbs as you take them off.

For reverse bulbs, I went CREE 12W. No complaints.
