I know a few folks have the CHs... do you guys think they're worth the $100+ premium per wheel over the CKs? Will the CHs be easier to eventually sell?

I have the ck's. Been very happy with them, and they've lasted through some very rough roads.

Man they look so damn similar , i can't tell the difference even in in person or a random pic

I much prefer the look of CH's. For me personally, if I were spending that much $$ on new wheels, I'd shell out the extra $400 for CH's without a moment's hesitation.

+1

Ryan, either way they both look good in my opinion but since I was putting a set on my ///M, I wanted the CH's because they have Motorsport imbedded on them. :) Kinda fitting they are on my ///M, that's my train of thought...

Here they are mounted on my ///M...

I'd vote for CH but I'm a bit partial, and you could always scoop some used ones up for a pretty reasonable price.

if i had my druthers i'd take the CHs as the lines are a bit cleaner, but they are both sweet, albeit on the heavy side, no?

CH is one of my favorite BBS wheels.

The CK is more curvacious, and I like both a lot.
I like the CH just a bit more because it has Motorsport engraved in it. If the CK had that then I'd probably rep those instead, so they're pretty darn close and is a hard choice to make.

Yes, as Dane said, they will survive a pounding (most likely). I've gone through some terrible roads in NYC at speed with the BBS wheels and they haven't bent yet, and I only have 245/35 tires with them. I'm thoroughly impressed.

Looks like the CH is "Flow Formed", which makes for a lighter, stronger rim that's closer to forged.

Thinking I'll go with the CKs... have a little time to decide but I'm not sure it's worth the extra cash for me, even though they do say motorsport :) Sounds like either way is a win, though.

If money was a concern, buying them new obviously isn't an option. lol
You can get used CH's in mint condition for less than new CK's. It's more about preference than cost at this point.

Yeah but even after straightening, they were still hundreds less than the closest used set of CH's at the time.

Size is important and the happiness of your wallet. Certain colors are rarer than others.

It doesn't look good like that. I say pick and color and go all 4.

Red is pretty rare and is quite expensive. Black is standard I think.

i was more commenting on the strength of the wheels. i picked up a used set of 17x8.5" CH's a few years ago and all 4 were slightly out of round - not enough to be seen by the naked eye, but it showed up on a balancer. sucked.

Mine weren't bent in that way. The previous owner must have smacked them against a curb pretty badly, probably while going sideways, because the two wheels that were bent to holy hell were the two that had curb rash on them. With that kind of force, you'll bend any kind of wheel, regardless of how it's made.

As far as regular driving goes, no bends whatsoever. The wheels balance out perfectly after they got straightened. We'll find out for sure at my next tire change whether I've accumulated any bends since then, but so far there have been no vibrations whatsoever from the wheels.

No wheel is immune to bends, just that some are stronger than others. I never question the quality of BBS wheels.

I will add that there are wheel manufacturers out there who make excellent products, BBS and Apex being an example. I have had absolutely no issues running on these wheel sets (BBS CH/ARC-8's) ..... knock on wood ;)
