The Hoosier BMWCCA Chapter is working to get an Indiana CCA license plate created. If anyone resides in the Hoosier state, it'd be great to go sign the sheet indicating you'd like to see it get made. I think only something like 500 signatures to move on to the approval stage. I went to go sign it yesterday at Basney in South Bend, and I was only the second person... so I think they might need all the help they can get!

Thanks for the scoop. I'm a member of the CCA, but not really active in the local chapter. I'll sign up so at least there will be two of us that are on the sheet.

New Palestine, which lies on the southeast side about 20 minutes from downtown Indy via I-70.

Yeah, I really dig the area. It's really very rural...............like living in Mayberry RFD, but only with the little big city a short distance away. Best of both worlds so to speak.

Yeah, I'm really hoping it does. Indiana has a heck of a selection license plate wise. I'm kinda partial to my environment plate, which hasn't changed in probably 20 years or so. I was thinking of going special Olympics next, but I'd have to go for a cca one were it an option!

Who doesn't want an eagle on their car??

I just scheduled the 3rd and final anniversary service for next Monday at Dreyer-Reinbold, so I'll be sure to sign the register before I boogie.

I signed the roster sheet yesterday at the northern DR site.............and was the 9th person to do so at this location. You really had to kind of search for it as it was holed up in a vacant office space, but they did have the replica plate fairly prominently displayed so if they aren't actively promoting it at least someone nosy like myself will probably notice it, if even eventually.

Yeah, off to a bit of an inauspicious start to say the least. The list and promo material probably needs to also be available at the parts counter where more gear heads will see it. I plan on attending the Indy Auto Show that runs from 26 Dec - 1 January, so I'll bring it up when I talk to the reps in the BMW section of the show.

They put the program on hold when a police officer took them to court. They wouldn't let him get a vanity plate that said "oink" because it was offensive to police officers :facepalm
