Hey Guys.

These are the first shots I took with my D3100. I'm starting to get use to it. I just gotta keep on taking shots.

Let me know how these are, thanks

3 and 4 were just spare of the moment when I was in the garage. I don't like them...but just posted them for giggles.

I like number 1!

How are you liking the D3100 Kyle?? I've just been practicing by taking lots and lots of shots of random things with mine

I like them all. That's it from me.

I like one. Three is actually kind of neat. I like it. But I am looking at these with an untrained eye. For critique purposes, just ignore me.

It just started shooting with it today. I'm going to wait for it to get sunny tomorrow and head to the metroparks and town center and snap some shots. It's relatively easy from what it's taking. It takes time learning shutter speed and all, but over all I'm impressed.

How's yours going?

I really like 3 & 4. I've always enjoyed playing with light (this (http://www.ryankokesh.com/ryan/school/photo/Photo2%20-%20Light/b&w.jpg) is my favorite so far). Maybe try something like 3 with a longer exposer and a different reflection? Moon or something? I dunno... I'm no pro :) Looks like you're catching on quickly though!

I played around with the First Image in Picasa 3 (Since it's free and I want to see how I do at minor editing).

Opinions?

I still like it. I also like the fact that it looks like Alfred E. Newman is near the burner. :biggrin

I don't see it...

Look at the top of the burner. Look left and right. Looks like ears -- slightly. And then above the burner, it looks as though there is hair.

Or, maybe not. I might be tired. Haha.

Still nothin... It's probably me though - I was always one of those people who could never see anything in those messed up 3d pictures. (Sailboat, what?!?!)

I liked it better before the edit..... Too much contrast now and the detail in your blacks is gone.

Gotcha. Will note that.

On the otherhand. I took my first try at a high ISO shot (3200).

Yes, no? (I realize the background isn't promising)

Man. I wish I knew if I was supposed to like this or not. Haha. It looks good to me, though. Keep up the good work, Kyle. Keep shooting like crazy.

Yes...that crease would be going right across his eyes.

You're going to end up making me buy a damn camera. As if my month hasn't been expensive enough.

So far this has been my best shot. I took this right across from Rockfeller Center Christmas night

I'm seeing all kinds of D3100's for sale on eBay for around the same price as the Sam's Club "sale".

I guess, everywhere local is $600+

I went local just because I could get a warranty through it as well. It just makes life easier IMO
