View Full Version : Dinner Menu and Pricing - Golden Lamb

Guys,

I dropped by the Golden Lamb today and talked with their event planner. The below pricing includes:

1) Private reserved parking lot - I figure we can meet up early, say 1800, look at everyone's car and mingle until dinner @ 1900. I will be at the parking lot at 1730 to ensure you guys know where to park.

2) Full three course dinner. Served in our own banquet room, with room for up to 80. I think we have ~50 coming.

3) Cash Bar

4) H'orderves

5) Staffing to support the above.

The price is $37.95 + 6.75% sales tax + 20% gratuity = $37.95 X 1.2675 = $48.10 + Paypal fee's = say $50.00 (I would need this paid for you and your guests no later than 15 April 2015). Payment can be made via the "donate" button on the site.

You will pick your desert and main course when you arrive.

The options for this dinner are awesome and the food is absolutely delish. Everyone attending, let me know your thoughts.

Other pics I took on the walk around:

They also have 18 full service hotel rooms. They've named the rooms "The John Adams Room", etc.....and they're really setup very historically and cozy. She assured me the rates at the Golden Lamb are competitive for this time of year.

Due to budgetary reasons I will not be attending this dinner. Still going to Ohio though, so maybe I'll hit up a Dairy Queen or something nearby!

We'll figure out something BP. You need to be there homey.

I'll go mow yards if I have to, to fund it.

Nah man. I'm sure I'd eventually come up with it, but probably not by the deadline. We'll see. Car needs a lot of maintenance right now.

BP, I'm in pretty much the same boat - don't really care to spend $50 on dinner, not my kind of thing or my kind of dining. However.....Dairy Queen is right up my alley! Maybe we can have an alternative meet up for those who aren't going to the dinner...

Dane, I'm going to edit the attendance list for the Family Reunion and remove my name from Friday night - I'll be in town, but not at the dinner.

I'm just going to say it... that sounds like a great place and experience, but I could have just as good time chatting it up at a IHOP with you guys. The $50 is a lot to spend for a meal that I will enjoy, but the people are what make this such a great experience and not the venue. No offense just my 2 cents.

That said, I also would like a dairy queen meet :)

Agree. Go ahead and find an IHOP on Friday night that's going to efficiently serve us (in our numbers) in a manner where we can all socialize and have fun.

Ain't gonna happen John.

I have no qualms with this venue and the price point. I think we need to keep the fact that the $50 is not just for the food on the table, but the fact that this venue is setup to handle our numbers and do so in a way that we will all enjoy. Not to mention it has a lot more character and ambiance than an IHOP...I can drive down the street and get a stuffed french toast platter, when I drive 7+ hours I want to go somewhere unique and experience new places, in this case one of the oldest restaurants/hotels in the country. To do so with a group of folks I'm excited to meet and converse with is even better.

That said, what is the plan for dinner Saturday night after road rally? I wasn't there on the Friday night of the NJ Reunion, but I seem to remember everyone saying folks just hung out and did their own thing Friday night and our big dinner was Saturday night. My thoughts toward having this Friday is that DQ and that sort of food actually does sound good to me after being on the road all day...rather just chill out and talk cars and keep things simple. Get a good night sleep in, enjoy ourselves Saturday and then have a nice meal at the Golden Lamb followed by maintenance the next day.

tl;dr Venue/price works for me considering ambiance and setup. Wondering about Saturday dinner here instead?

Payment sent for 2 in my party. Come on guys and gals. Let's do this. Think about the overall price for an amazing meal, venue, comraderi and open bar!
I'm happy to put @$20 in the kitty to help pay for those who are on a tight budget.

I just came across this...
So is this Friday or Saturday now?
Kristen's Acura dealer is shifting to a whole new dealer system that week so there will be lots of training and other issues that week. We are still trying to make it out there Friday but she needs to verify. Right now they don't even have a GM to sign off on it. He got fired last week.... lots of drama...

If you are wondering if the dinner at the Golden Lamb is worth $50, I would have to say Yes! Although my wife and I do not usually spend that much on dinner this meal includes appetizers and desert. The Golden Lamb is the oldest Inn in Ohio and has hosted many Presidents during it's existence. It is worth a trip to experience the history. Besides the food is great!

Well....it looks like only Shawn and Ryan/Ann have paid for the dinner.

With that said, I will most likely be canceling this event tomorrow (won't happen Friday or Saturday during the meet), and I'll have to figure something else out.

Naaa....I've got another idea brewing.

Friday night would be barbecue at our local park. We could hang out and unwind. I'll call the city to see what the fee and rules are.

Saturday night we could do dinner at Petrellis in Mason. It's Italian. I'll talk to Jim (owner) and see what his pricing and menu options would be for dinner and banquet room. I'm guessing it would be about half of what the Golden Lamb was going to be.
