About to list it on CL and FB, but figured if anyone wanted a babied, easy entry into the Full Frame world in the Mafia I'd list it here first:

Recently cleaned via Canon Professional Services. Ready for sale. Comes with 2 batteries, 2 chargers, original box and accessories, as well as a UDMA Compact Flash card.

19056

19057

19058

It is VERY primitive compared to the 5DIII, but still provides where it counts in image quality. Easily beating recent Rebels in the same price category.

Recent examples from last weekend:

18992

18993

18994

Nice. I'm still deciding between the 5D and 5DII. What lenses did you use with the 5D?

The above images are using my Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L and EF 135mm f/2L. I have used it with a myriad of lenses over the years. A good combo would be this camera and the EF 50mm f/1.8 (nifty fifty) or the new 35mm f/2.0 that came out recently.

As for the 5D vs. 5DII, I currently own both so I can safely say they work well together. It really comes down to your budget, lens collection or wish-list for those and the features you deem important.

What would you be using the camera for/enjoy shooting?

I hear you. I used to shoot Nikon w/ a 24-70, 50mm 1.8, and a couple strobes. I mainly take portraits, landscapes, and pics of my car. So no action shots or anything really.

I don't do video either but I might want to experiment with it at some time. I've been shooting for about 5 years and never shot video so I wouldn't say I'd NEED that in a camera.

I have used it with a myriad of lenses over the years...

Another one that works well with the 5D is the Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM:

19000

19001

19003

And if you want to sell your ZHP for the Canon EF 400mm f/2.8 IS USM (my friend's!) it works well too:

19002

Those subjects are what I primarily shoot as well. I used that same combination of lenses (Canon 24-70L and 50 1.8) for a long time and it worked great. As for video, all of the new DSLRs from Canon do that extremely well, even the Rebels have been used on movie/TV sets so that's an avenue to cross down the line for sure.

Most likely will. No real need to sell any of my lenses. It's just the one I use the least since getting the 35.

Fantastic camera. I had one before I sprung for the 5D2. Both of these cameras coupled with an 85mm is incredible! My favorite combo!

GLWS. Great camera and price!
