Ok, so I used the search function this time. So hopefully this won't be a repost :P
Well my stock fog lights both have cracks in them. The cracks have let moisture in and now they are all fogged up... it looks bad. So I was on khoality.com trying to find some and I found these. I'm not sure if I like them or not. What do you guys think? And does anyone have a picture of these installed? Just trying to find something to separate my car from the crowd. Other than it being a ZHP.

I, too, have a cracked fog light housing. In my research on replacements, I came across a thread (on E46F, I believe . . . ) about halogen vs HID bulbs & stock vs projector housings that recommended neither HID fog bulbs nor these projector-style housings with OEM halogen fog bulbs. The poster's opinion is that the bowl of the stock housings & the characteristics of the OEM halogen bulbs make nearly ideal fog lights. FWIW.

I'm moving this thread to lighting forum.

Yea this is the housing and bulb. I'm just worried about it looking ugly.

I got a set of Xenon fogs from Umnitza and they look wicked when turned on, the light output is ridiculous and perfectly matches the main HID's. I don't have a pic with them on but I attached a close up of them post install.

Oh cool. Did you get the OEM Xenon D2S system? Or one of the better ones?

To be completely honest I don't know, I'd have to check the parts list when I get home. I literally replaced every light/lens on the car so I just told Tim @ Umnitza I wanted Xenon style/look fogs and he hooked me up. Price was right, I trusted him and I am more than happy with them.

Edit: Yes they are the OEM D2S bulbs

I'm not a big fan of the projector style housings but if you like them then it's up to you. Just as an FYI, the M3 foglights are identical to our OEM ZHP fogs but do not have the "fluted" glass. I actually prefer the M3 fogs over the ZHP fogs.

Correct. I got the M3 fogs with Xenon bulbs in them, I realized this when the black plastic outer housing didn't look/fit correctly, or at all really. The M3 bumper fog hole must be a slightly different fitment than our ZHPs. FYI the ones I have are not DOT so technically they're illegal I suppose, but I like to live on the edge...

Yes, the fog lights from the M3 will fit but not the black trim piece. You'll have to re-use the trim pieces from your ZHP fogs.

Which I did...after a quick respray with some satin black.

I have cracks in both my fog lights in the last two weeks. I drive back roads a lot so I use the fogs all the time at night. What's the difference between the Mfogs and our stock zhp one's? Anyone have pics of the difference between the various options? Thanks!

Stock fogs & M fogs differ only in the glass lense: stock is fluted glass & Ms are smooth.

(I personally suspect that they are, in fact, one & the same; that the smooth glass is just the newer version of the older fluted glass . . . but I have no proof.)

EDIT: Pics since I have one of each

Also, I'm rocking the condensation mod on my right headlamp. Time to get a bunch of little things fixed.

I have one of both too. The m3 is crystal clear and the other is frosted/fluted. Go with the m3 for sure. I will be getting a set soon to replace the broken original frosted one.

Go for the M3 fogs, they look better IMO

Yeah, you wanna buy the m3 one?
Is it your passenger-side one? If so, I just might . . .

Here is a brand new M3 fog with Xenon bulb, covered with a thin slice of clear bra.

My M3 is on the passenger side too! We've officially defied probability.

My m3 one is driver side, but I want a new set of the m3 ones, I will likely keep it as spare.

I know I am bringing this back from the dead, But anyone with the mfogs can add insight if the output is better than the frosted glass lenses. I have xenon 3k with my frost lenses and feel as if the lighting is lacking, so I wanted to know if light output with xenon is better? any advice is appreciated. thanks
