I've searched and can't seem to find any reason why my values are different than the ones posted here http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=1013600

I'm in the IKE section and the 0x0F0 section does not match either the factory or revised one listed. I made a backup and changed it to the revised line anyways, nothing seemed to change. While I was searching I came across a PA Soft for dummies post and noticed that one of the pictures half way through the first post matches mine. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=1067835

Does anyone have any idea why mine is different, am I looking in the wrong area possibly?

Factory is listed as 0x0F0: 0F 00 32 1F 4B 5A 73 7C 94 7D A4 06 0E 1E 0F
Revised is listed as 0x0F0: 0F 00 41 1F 4B 5A 64 7C 94 73 A4 06 0E 1E 0F

Here is mine that matches the second link I posted above.

Looks like I didn't read far enough. Post #80 has the answer for this situation. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=1013600&page=4 Time for a quick break from work to test this out :)

I'd have to double check, but in a lot of those reprogram threads, the authors were referencing pre-facelift cars which I think had different stock values than facelifted cars. I'm planning on reprogramming mine soon and I found the gauge visualizer/hex generator software that an e46fanatics user made, and you have to select pre-facelift or facelift and it outputs different stock hex values.

That was the problem, I thought I had a pre-facelift car all along............Hi, my name is Jim and I'm a BMW noob. lol.

After changing the Hex generator to "FL" and looking at lines 0x340 and 0x350 in the "IKE" it all makes sense now

Anyone know what kind of chip you are actually reprogramming?

PS, I've never looked into programming a car before so forgive me if my question is dumb.

Edit. I see it's an eeprom, so I guess I'm more interested in know what chip is using the data on the eeprom and where it's located.
