Had to clean her up after the tire shop. For what its worth, the PS2's are the greatest tires Ive ever owned. The only downside I can think of is that they make me think I'm freekin superman behind the wheel. If I was a few years younger, this would be a problem lol.

Happy Spring Boys...

We need a review in our review forum. I am interested in longevity.

Great pics!

I will post after a few more miles.(Heading up the Georgia Mountains soon ) As for longevity, mine will probably need to be replaced from dry rot before tread wear.

So.......you think they're good for 30k?

My guess is between 20K and 30K (and probably closer to 20K).

Not sure tbh, I was referring to that fact that this thing sits in my garage WAY more than its on the road. It will take me 15 years to drive 30k at my current rate.

Adam, definitely. I know what you mean. I've put about 6,000 miles on my PS2 tires that are on my 335. Coming up on almost two years.

I have Pilot Sports which are really good, but the PS2s are as good as it gets! With my Pilot Sports I have seen life of about 20-25k miles. The rears wear much quicker than the fronts. The car is on its 3rd set now, and they are pretty much brand new now, changed em last fall

Are the PS2s directional (they don't look so on Tire Rack's site . . . )? If not, I'm thinking a square set of 8.5" M135s with 255 PS2s would be ideal if you kept on top of rotating them . . .

They are non-directional tires, Crickett.

Oooh, I think I just found my new set of summers . . . after I wear out this set of Conti DWSs . . . & find a pair of rear M135s . . . & save up the $$$ . . . damn.

Gawd they're heavy though.

True, but I'd wouldn't be using them for track / autoX (M68s FTW there), just spirited DD: the ability to rotate between all four corners would be a boon to extending the useable life of the set, I'd imagine. Longer life on a set of PS2s, more aggressive look w/255s all around, & (hopefully) better stick while pushing it on the street all sounds worth it to me!

Just noticed something, my sidewalls say "pilot sport".
Pilot sport 2 or ps2 isn't on the tire at all. Is this right? Can't imagine Butler tire would rip me off, but...

Tire Rack pic of PS2 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/BigPic.jsp?sidewall=Blackwall&tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=Pilot+Sport+PS2&frontTire=24YR8SPORTPS2XL&rearTire=535YR8SPORTPS2XL&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=BMW&autoYear=2004&autoModel=330i%20Performance%20Pkg&autoModClar=)

It looks like there is a veeery small "PS2" stamped right under the "Pilot Sport". Also, the PS1s have a directional V-shaped tread pattern & the PS2s are more . . . "normal" (:dunno) looking.

Edit: Yours look to have the tread pattern of PS2s.

245/40/17 PS2s are insanely cheap right now. With the $70 rebate, they are just $131 each. TireRack must have a huge overstock in that size or something because they are 1/2 the price of most other sizes. I'm considering getting a set for my 17x8.5/17x9 SSRs. They would be slightly shorter than stock height (255/40/17 would be ideal) but for that price, it's close enough.

Price might be down because of the Pilot Super Sport taking it's place as the premier max performance summer tire.

I'd love some Pilot super sports.

Did your car have the xenon to halogen downgrade option? I've never seen a ZHP with halogens

My previous owner did not order Xenons on my car. I have halogens on my ZHP.
