This location will be the start of rally portion of our gathering. Anyone driving single will team up with a car with two and use cell phones to connect with the navigator for contents of the clue list. The rally will end at George Dickel Distillery with a tour and our photo shoot location.

Just a heads up; even though is it a great distance, the highways move pretty good down here (70 & 55 min) most of the way and there's only a few stop light when you get to Franklin.

I got some Koni FSDs new in the box and will be ordering the mounts & rubber related parts here in the near future, but was going to get my local Indy to do it.....

Hello everyone. I have been AWOL, but am back. I would love to attend this reunion, but already have plans for that weekend. My father turns 90 on FRI, 30 SEP and my mom turns 80 on SUN, 2 OCT. It's a big weekend and I plan on being in PR to celebrate with them.

I stopped at the Holiday Inn Express on Jackson St in Tullahoma, TN today to see about a block rate. Turns out that the rates have significantly changes from what I quoted in the original post. The manager Bryan, is checking with his area manager to see if he can better the rate. Once I hear back from him, I will post the new rate with a BLOCK code to use for reservations.

I'm not sure how far you need to travel but if your place is not close then I would do the downpipe... Because personally I don't like to change a lot of important stuff on my car when I'm away from home and have a long drive ahead of me...

That will get us to Cars_n_Coffee at 8:00 AM and parking will definitely be filling up by then. We should all meet back at the cars by 9:30 AM to head to the meeting location for the rally.

Took a final test run of the reunion rally last night. Did some final tweeking to the paperwork and we should be ready to go. I think it turned out good and everyone participating should have a great time on some of the areas great back roads.

Yeh, great part of the country with some great people. It just doesn't get any better than that.

We done a lot of ground base travel in the last year that included AL, MS, LA, TX, AR, MO, IL, IN, OH & KY and we didn't experience anyplace better. Hope everyone feels the same after experiencing TN.

Also, need to note that Cars n Coffee is 60 miles and a hour and fifteen minute drive from the Tullahoma holiday Inn. I think it's probably best to head out from there at 6:45 AM. That will get us to Cars_n_Coffee at 8:00 AM and parking will definitely be filling up by then. We should all meet back at the cars by 9:30 AM to head to the meeting location for the rally.

A couple updates and things you need to know.

Jack Daniel's Distillery: We did the tour this weekend and found that there is now a charge for both the Dry County and Tasting tour. The tours are now between $14 & $20 and there are now significant restrictions on what you can bring in. See http://www.jackdaniels.com/en-us/whiskey/old-no-7 for more detailed information.

When we arrived at Nashville Cars n' Coffee at 8:00 AM, there was no room available to park all of the ZHPs together. This either means we don't park as a group or, we leave Tullahoma at 6:00-6:30 AM.

I found another option for Saturday dinner in Tullahoma. This is now One22 West formally Fast Jack's and under the same management. Always good food and service and now a freshly remodeled interior. Decided what I want to do on maint day. My brakes are ugly and rusted. I'd like to paint them black, silver rattle clip, a "BMW" logo on the front rattle clips, and a clear gloss finish. I've got the clear gloss, but I need black and silver rattle cans. Anyone have a suggestion?

I also have not done this before, and any tips would be great. What's the best way to remove rust/dirt/gunk before painting? My goal is to not remove any parts and just leave the brakes as-is on the car so it's all as simple as possible.

Morning All,

We're starting to get closer to the reunion and I need some firmer numbers for the shopping list. So, can you please update the list of how many will be in your party. Yes, wife's are very welcome so, bring them along.

For Friday night, I'm planning on burgers on ciabatta rolls, Italian sausage with fried peppers & onions and some local pulled pork. We'll do a Mac or potato salad, some chips and drinks. I'll also do something sweet for desert.

I will have a donation jar for funding this at the reunion or, you can throw some money in my paypal account, to help get me started.
