Zero idea on shutter count. I looked online how to find the shutter count, and it's not easily done on a 40D.

I think it's a great camera and was recommended to me by Seth August (Udubadger). I just don't pick it up. Ever.

I'd like to see someone buy it and enjoy it. I paid more than what I'm asking.

Depends what used for. D5100 would have better low light usage. 40D really shines as an outdoor day light body for Sports / Motorsports photography (6.5fps rapid fire!!!).

So anyone into some inexpensive track day or autoX photography on a budget would love this one. Hell at that price I'm tempted!

This camera is a little older but don't pay too much attention to MP and all that new tech, nobody here other than Mark is putting shots on a billboard sized canvas so 10-12MP is fine for uploading good quality photos to Flickr, IG and the mafia.

Big time man! This is a great combo for the beginner or occasional enthusiast. 40D is still one of the best affordable Canon cameras for shooting Motorsports as well because of the quick FPS shutter speed.
