$900 seems outrageously high, but this does check all the boxes, especially with wireless CarPlay, which allegedly doesn't even impact battery life. If I wind up getting one I'll get the old crappy H/K speakers ripped out too, or maybe the whole system and go with a decent new amp too. But the $$ total by doing all of that would be eye-watering.

You'd most likely have to use the aftermarket radio panel with this one as this won't be as wide as the factory nav, like this:

What's the maximum depth for a double-din so that the AC ducting doesn't need to be modified?

I'm looking at the Kenwood Car Play models.

This...^^^ Eonon GA6150 has Bluetooth connectivity, no need for an aux jack
