Looks like I won't be able to make it this year. My dad will be celebrating his 60th birthday on October 26th and am planning to spend oct 20-29 with them when they visit the USA. Was trying to see if I can make it somehow over the past few days but seems unlikely. ☹️

Looks like family will have to take precedence over bringing the ZHP. We're going to make a family trip home to see Kristen's family in Columbus at the same time so there is no way I can fit everything in the ZHP. Plus we have to pick up all the leftover OEM parts to the 135 we left at her brothers house so most likely we'll be bringing a trailer too.
On the plus side, the twins will be able too meet all the Mafia family and see all of the cars that look like "daddy's car"
We'll probably only be able to make it Friday evening but we'll see how it turns out...

I may have an issue with driving up to west Chester next weekend. This is because as I was checking things under the hood today, I saw the clear signs of a busting radiator or expansion tank. Pics tomorrow.

Don't want to thread jack the 2017 Mafia Meet thread so I posted them in my maintenance thread here (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?2559-Oli77-s-maintenance-amp-yearly-totals-ledger&p=543971#post543971).

I am making phone calls to get info on prices locally. This weekend is out for fixing and I leave for DC next week coming back on Friday night late.

Could:

1) order the parts, do the fix on Saturday and drive up for a lunch with the peeps on Sunday
2) pay shop to do it while I am gone in DC, drive up on Sunday
3) drive up to the meet on Sunday with the parts in the trunk

I’m *trying* to squeeze in a side trip to the Dragon on my way up. Doing that with the QJ in the back sounds horrible. I might have to go hoon some Union County backroads as a test. Don’t worry, Nate—I’ll definitely skip Goldmine Road.

Oh and we also needed to pack for our Vegas + Grand Canyon vacation starting next week :)

That is a pretty road to drive on compared to I80. I make quite a few drives each year to NJ and I drove on 76 quite a few times but have started to take 80 instead cause 76 would cost me about $80 in tolls (roundtrip) where as 80 is free while being only about 15-20 min longer...

Just got home. 530 miles in just over 7 hours with two pit stops. Some children of the corn shit was goin down right next to I70. Had to stop for a leg stretch in the middle of the 695 parking lot for construction.

Also thanks to everyone that helped on Sunday. After the IACV cleaning and intake boot change, the power delivery seems to be a bit smoother especially in the troubled ~3K-ish and 4k-ish range. Hopefully it lasts for more than a day. :fingerscrossed

Had a really awesome time. Dane, a huge thank you to you and your family for hosting this. It's a long drive but definitely worth it every year.

Got home around 11:30pm last night. Drive wasn't too bad, and the winter wheels were dropped off at my parents house.

So at first it was hard to tell what the shark actually did. Having four winter rims and tires in the car adds a lot of weight and I couldn't really tell if I had any extra power. I noticed right away that the 4k dip was smoothed out to be barely noticeable though. Honestly that was the only thing I really cared about since mine got so bad it felt like hitting a wall at 4k rpms. It's hard to describe, but the power delivery is different and I want to think the car has a little more power. It certainly feels that way especially with the dip almost completely gone. 6th gear at 80+ is a monster now, ask Justin.

Tokina 19-35. It’s an old film lens, so a good focal length on my FX sensor. Not the sharpest by today’s standards, but stopped down it’s a pretty solid performer, and it’s built like an Abrams tank.

I got a tokina 11-16 dx lens and it's pretty wide.

I picked up my Nikon d7500 that I sent for warranty repair and they fixed the auto focus issue I was having. But they seem to have left something inside the camera or didn't tighten something properly because when I shake the camera a little, i can hear something bouncing around inside...

Nah it’s still AF, but it’s definitely a slower motor. I didn’t pay attention until tonight my camera was in spot metering from some dog portraits, so I tried to salvage the exposures as well as I could.
