View Full Version : Anyone from ct traveling to the zhp meet in va????

I am seriously debating on taking the 10 hour drive to VA for the meet on June 10th, and seeing as I live in CT(south eastern to be exact) i was wondering if anyone from the state or close surrounding states were going to be making the drive as well?

Well i'm only 18 and I'm not sure if my mom would let but i can make some excuse if i go with a friend! but he's not here and i live in NYC ill keep you posted if I plan to go I would love to go to the 1st Annual one! so i can say i was there since the get go lol and i would love to head down there along with other members

I am making the trek from Bridgeport. It is a 7-hr drive from here if all goes well, as I plan on leaving late in the day past rush hour. Where are you coming from?

Not familiar with it at all. What I do know is that it's just over an hour east of Bridgeport.

Yes thats right. I can make that drive in 45min though haha. Also i was just past Bridgeport in Westport over the weekend for a big VW, Audi, BMW meet called Dubs on defrost. I was the only ZHP there and felt very special! Did you hear about that meet?

I've heard of Dubs on Defrost but I never go to it. I usually don't go to large gatherings.

lol my mom speaks a little bit of english but I'll make it clear from now that i want to go and do my part and ill ask a friend to come with me. How long are we going to stay and where am i going to stay?! lol and 09mageec i can head to the place you want to meet up at I'll start passing out my number once I find a friend to tag along with me.

i just remembered the first day i bought my car, i WAXED IT SO MUCH! and i did not go inside my house, i sat on my steps and just kept looking at it. I didn't sleep inside the car because i didn't want to mess the leather up. ;)

What's with the not wanting to sleep in a tent outside? The burg is a safe town. DW's house is very safe and he has his privacy where he lives, I am probably even camping and I live five minutes away. Free camping is a privilege.

I don't do bugs and creepy crawlies, so camping is out for me. I'm gonna have to book a room. Wanna split the bill and share a room? I could get a room with two beds.

Dude im with you, i cant do bugs. I have been camping once upstate and I legit got eaten the hell up by bugs. Call me what you want but i can not take bugs haha

Yes i do have to pass through NYC, and from what i remember from going clubbing in the city alot is that the Bronx isnt too far into the city right?

No it's not far, its around the corner of the city where the highways are located..we can meet around Co-op City in the bronx (tip of north bronx) and i talked to my friend and he's with it. So i think theres like a 80% chance i'll go.. I'll give you times and stuff later when im 100% sure i'll be going. btw i will also be looking for a place to sleep at and visiting VA beach while im out there if i go

Lol first my friend has to be in on it, I talked to him last night and he seems to be with the idea, but he's in Vermont he'll come back down on May 18. Then from there on we''ll be 100% sure. Dane I'm like 85% sure I'll go lol..

I can't camp outside without staying awake all night looking for spiders and other buggies that tingle my nerves...
I obviously have a huge dislike for anything that crawls...

Of course if the hotels are booked or if they cost too much, I'll have to camp outside. Hopefully someone has space in the tent, or, I could always sleep in ze car. It's actually pretty comfy; I've taken a couple of naps in it. :)
