Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I am in the process of awaiting for my 2004 BMW ZHP to arrive from Arizona. Specs that i know of so far on the car 2004 Imola red with suede/cloth , no sunroof , 6 speed manual 46K miles. I currently have a 96 M3 coupe, 2001 VW GTI 1.8T and a 93 VW Corrado VR6. Selling the GTI once the BMW comes in. I have owned the following cars in the past 96 GTI VR6, 69 VW Beetle, 72 VW Beetle Convertible and 2004 350z . Been eyeing out the ZHPs for a couple of years now and cant wait to get my hands on this one. Never bought a car sight unseen so i hope its as good as i have been told. I usually do most of the maintenance and repair on my own vehicles. Hoping this forum will be good source of info in the time of need. My wife and i cant wait to receive her. Will post some pics once she arrives.

Wow! That, IMHO, is THE quintessential ZHP! What is up with the new guys scoring sunroof deletes?!

Congrats! Everyone here is a stand-up guy/gal & we have quite a few killer techs & DIYers who are more than willing to help.

Welcome to the family!

Thanks for the welcome. I live in Jacksonville Florida and the car is coming from Arizona. I had thoughts of flying out there one way and driving the car back. After adding up the cost to do so it came super close to the 850 dollar transfer fee ( getting from Car Max ) and that was without factoring in my time. Getting the car for 15600 + tax and tag transfer and of course transfer fee. I think they had the car priced incorrectly, ive seen them buy in ZHPs before and not realize it had the performance package. A couple of years ago we almost bought a black on black ZHP when i had the 350Z, but it had higher miles and didnt seem as well taken care of.

I agree about Carmax. There are some deals to be had there with regard to the ZHP. I've seen several that were mispriced there. And I would have done the same thing as you. Given the cost to get it to you, that was the prudent thing to do.

My wife works for Car Max so i am always looking at their website looking for good prices on a nice car. This one was only on the lot for 2 days when we put the transfer in so we only got 500 off the price of the car. It seems to be a solid deal considering the mileage. I figured if we were serious we needed to jump because im sure someone local would have been all over this car for their 16100 selling price. I believe what they did was enter in 330I and entered in non leather and 6 speed manual which would make the car retail at 16300, which was almost their sell price. Little did the buyer know this was a performance model. I ve seen this happen a couple of times.

I'm considering a move to the JAX area so I'll keep an eye open for ya'. Bought my ZHP in NM - it was a former AZ car too. I decided to ignore the economics and enjoy the drive back east.

Finally got the car tonight. So far i am pretty happy with the purchase. I believe it was a fair price on a low mileage car. It has a few scratches here and there and the steering wheel is in just OK condition and the headlights need refurbed. But i believe i got one of the rare ones. Its Imola with alcantara no sunroof, xenons and rear seat does not fold down. Its that a rare combo ? Pics should come soon. I will clean her up good this weekend and snap some.

Sunroof delete and no CWP is fairly rare.

Congrats on the purchase.
