The latter. The fronts have to be done and I sure as hell ain't going to put the car on the lift twice for shock/strut mounts. :)

I'm told the Motul tastes just like Turkey. We'll find out soon enough.

nice spread. Next time save up a little more and get the Rogue RSM's. You won't regret it. The stock RSM's are about as trustworthy as a middle eastern government

The ones I bought were listed as "lifetime". I knew it was a joke, but I'm curious to see how long they last.
It's more of an experiment than anything.

Turner Motorsport. Bought it with their 20% off sale. :biggrin

You didn't get the strut tower reinforcement plates? Or does your car already have them?

^ Yes, those.

BP I don't recall if you have a strut bar or not. The reinforcement plates (or strut bar) are suggested as a precautionary measure against mushrooming strut towers. I'd pick them up and install them "while I'm in there" when changing the strut mounts. :)

Concur.....of buy a sezzy strut bar......:)

I'm not going to bother with the plates. My plan regarding the mushrooming was to get a strut bar, because I'd like to get a bit of eye candy instead to serve the same purpose. :)

I'm really leaning towards the BMW Performance bar. Not liking the fact that it requires relocation of the jump terminal in the front...

Just as an added option, the one I have installs in minutes with no mods.

Don't like the look of it as much as the BMW Performance one, which looks very beefy compared to the one in that link, though yours doesn't necessarily look bad at all. Like the look, just want a bit more... beef.

I'll have to see what's involved with the terminal relocation; if it's not too bad, I'm still going to spring for it. If it's a little beyond my comfort zone, I'll get the one from ECS.

Either way, it's going to be another WIN.

EDIT:
Looks like I'll have to get the one from ECS because the one I really want is over $1000! That's absolutley ridiculous. I could have sworn I saw them for like $300 before; I don't know what the heck happened to the price.

Oh well...

Copy.

I purchased mine for...

1. Eye candy
2. Mushrooming preventer.

It serves both.

As far as I know, those are the only two uses. lol
For the eye candy part, that's why I want the BMW Performance one. It just looks sooooo badass. The ECS one is my #2 pick, because I've looked through quite a few and don't like the look of most of them. Too bad the ECS one is backordered. Hopefully by the time I have money it will be in stock.

My engine eye candy/performance strut bar. Click the pic to enlarge. REALLY like the way the pedals look. Was thinking silver, may have to rethink that and go to the "black".

They WERE on sale for a little under $300 but they are all gone. Apparently they aren't going to be available anymore. Same with the intakes, on sale now for about the same price. I think I might have to grab one before they're all gone too. I've been thinking about picking up one of the ECS strut bars like Dane has when they get some in stock again.
