Gang,
i found you earlier this week while searching for a ZHP! linked over form e46fan. i currently have a deposit on an 04 zhp 6spd. in Florida. pending a friend putting their hands on it and a pre purchase inspection by a BIMRS shop, i will hopefully be pulling the trigger! this will be my 5th bimmer. i currently have an 08 535i (e60 w/n54) and an e36 328i. have had an e46 before and loved it. also had an x3 and 2 MINI's! the 5er is coming off lease and i am just not in a place to afford a newer chassis car. I worked at a BMW dealer here in the 'burgh for 7 yrs. 2 in detail shop and 5 yrs. in sales(hence the 5er:cool:) and currently a sales manager at a European motorcycle store (BMW, Ducati, Triumph) im excited about this purchase as i used to lust over these when i was prepping them for sale when they first packaged them this way. i will be posting more once the deal is done... if it gets done.

Fingers crossed:)

-Cheers!

thanks all. no fuel pump replacement yet. they did the software temp fix as i was having some issues. lease is done so not too worried. i love this car though. it was an exec demo and loaded!! 6spd man, sport, prem. logic 7 navi etc etc hate to see it go but it is tough to own. 3 yrs. and 36k miles, they still want $39k to buy it. terrible on gas and even worse on tires! looking forward to another e46 though. really hope this all works out.

The N54 is a great motor. Glad to hear you didn't have any fuel pump issues when you had the car.

Good luck with the ZHP.

so far so good! carfax is clean and ran a dcs report thru bmw (good to know people) and it was regularly serviced under warranty. few weird things replaced more than once (Pressure sensor DSC permanent malfunction,Power window function in control module occasional malfunction,Speakers permanent failure) all show up twice but fixed under warranty. this is the one that scares me-*Rubber/hydraulic mount, front axle wishbone, bottom (inner) cracked / broken / torn off* at 21,258 miles.. WTF! repaired under warranty/or insurance, but due to the brakes being replaced every 20k miles, i assume this car spent some time being raped. it is going to a BIMRS shop for a pre-purchase inspection in the morning. will cost me $200 for piece of mind or to find out its rubbish! either way, i'll follow up tomorrow.
Cheers!

well, this aint the one. too rough cosmetically and some other issues so... i am going to be able to extend my lease on the 5er for six months and i believe i can pay month to month, not commited for the entire six which allows me to shop and buy something i find til then. i actually found this one on here, http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?208-FS-2004-330i-ZHP so i hope you guys are able to find another one! got my eye on a few but some cats are asking WAY too much for these things. thanks for all the help so far! i'll keep lookin

well gang,
seems i found my car! good news, it's awesome! bad news, its not a zhp:p
in my worldwide search i stumbled on a to good to be true, but it has worked out. the good: 2006 e90 325i, cold, premium, xenon, logic 7, terra dakota leather, fold down rears, comfort access, oem aux in, oem Mtech full body kit, nicely done magnaflow exhaust and new intake(not sure of brand yet) 19" CSL w/ brand new rubber, h&R sport springs(rides nice:cool:)
the best: 27k miles!!!! alpine white(to match the e36) and, its 10 minutes from my house!! originally sold at the dealer i worked at and was just serviced and annual inspection/emission passed this month!!!

the bad: not a 335, xtra dirty:mad:, couple little scratches, nothing out of the ordinary for 5 year old car owned by young college student, drivers seat oddly worn(color fade and cracking on seat surface) for low mile car, angel eyes seem to be not working? any idea why? no codes thrown for bulb replacement. when they went out on my 5 the light tripped. it looked like maybe there was an led bulb that was wasn't bright but didnt get a chance to inspect closer.

should be picking her up friday. feedback welcome. can i still play with you guys since i dont have a zhp, or do get sent to the e90 table?:o

ps: the owner was given the car by his older brother went he left college and he started here in 08. he knows nothing about cars, let alone his own so he did not about the angel eyes not working

I have an E92 335. I had a 2007 E90 328. You are welcome here -- with or without the ZHP.

A member for life, pal.

Good find, nice mods and low miles. My good friend has an e90 325, it's a nice car. Different feel from the e46 obviously. In terms of speed (stock) it's between the e46 325 and the e46 330. Don't ask me how I know.

ive owned an e46 325. this is a little punchier, but just has a nicer all around feel. it will be the family truckster so not too worried about speed. i will miss that n54 though, even in that tank chassis. the car sounds amazing! thought it would sound like a turd with a grapefruit shooter at first, but realy has a tuned growl to it. paperwork is done and will be driving it tomorrow around 1pm. putting up some pics from the ad until i can detail it and take real pics. it is so effin filthy right now. cant wait to scrub er down!

dont have the posying pics thing 100% yet, bare with me...

That chrome grille is really hurting my eyes... lol
If it was a black car then sure. What are you planning on doing to it?

Because of the wheel colors, I think the grilles have to be blacked out.

bimmer848
12-03-2010, 04:11 PM
they will be black very soon! cut me some slack, it's been like two hours!! other than full detail, black grills and fix the angel eyes, it's pretty much done!

grill ordered! now to tackle those pesky angel eyes. seems it will be labor intensive, maybe? dunno, anyone tried to access these yet on an e90?

250 for 15 minutes according to the DIY I have.

the halos are there. oem adaptive xenon with corona rings came with car. problem is i believe the previous owner put an aftermarket led bulb in and they are wicked dull. can only see them by themselves in the dark. did some research though, seems i have to pull the front wheels and take down fender lining to access the bulbs..pita!

anyway, went out with the fam and could not stand the filth any more so took it through a car wash(believe me, it i never go through those, but it couldnt get any worse than this filth) and i had no idea the wheels were this color! i thought the were dull anthracite!! yes, it was that dirty!

im taking off work on thur. to go to a bud's shop and spend the day detailing. amazing how a little soap and water can make such a difference!

you know this car look so good in person but i cant seem to capture it in a photo. im no Casey, and its just an iPhone 4, but it just doesnt photograph well?

848,
I have to admit, I hate the way that pre-facelift E90's look. BUT, with the addition of an M-Tech kit that yours seems to have, it looks absolutely stunning. I don't know how much the wheels go with it, but I could definitely see myself getting used to them and liking them a lot. That M-Tech is a beauty, I tell ya!
The rear looks amazing as well!

hey thanks man! i realy dig it as well. looks sort of like an aggresive lci facelift i think. the wheels look better when clean, but thats what it came with so...i got a great deal and man, you should hear it! va-room my friend! too bad its slow as balls, lol

Don't put angel eyes in... they look best on cars that BMW integrated with angel eyes from the factory. Plus the facelift coupe rings are pretty small...

Yeah- the angel eyes will be a go on mine. I miss them every time I look at the front of my car. Just have to get up the balls to bake. Also wondering if I might have to delay until September so I don't void the CPO warranty...

See what I mean about the rings being small? They are smaller than all other E46 Angel Eyes I'm 99% sure... Dane yours look good; I guess I often see reports of failure and/or 8/10/12k angel eyes which look cheap imo.

az3579
12-06-2010, 04:41 PM
They look a little unusual to me on the coupes. BUT, to make up for it, the coupe headlights look overall better to begin with, IMO.
Besides, nothing wrong with just running parking lights. :)
