This is a Mini Cooper S issue. Haven't started it in a while, so I assumed the battery was dead. I jumped it today. Nothing. Let the battery charge through the cables. My volt meter said the battery was eventually charged, even if it was tied to my ZHP's battery via the cables. At that point, everything worked in the car but it wouldn't turn over. Just "click, click, click".

The alternator is relatively new.

Ideas?

I'm thinking I might have to call AAA to get a tow. Or will it eventually turn over if I keep at it?

What year is the Mini?
Is the engine getting fuel?

'05, it's been months. I don't know if the engine is getting fuel. I'll take a vid next time I try.

+1 on the video. If all its doing is clicking, still seems like you are lacking power.

Try tapping on the starter while someone else turns the key, worth a shot.

Have you got it started? Sounds like you have a bad solenoid if the tapping thing didn't work.
