Just got back from Chicago and figured I'd share some pics...ended up taking like ~300 but I only liked 70 or so...lol

A Couple Shots that I really enjoy. Camera is a Nikon D3100 with Kit lens.

C&C Welcomed, please. (and it's 7 shots now)

Shooting handheld at night is really hard! ~2-3 second exposure got this shot I always wanted to take

Strange... thought I replied but I don't see it. Great shots, but I especially like how you got such a steady handheld shot at 2-3 sec at night!

my beautiful city..

To tell you the truth...I don't know how you avoid ripping your hair out everyday. I haven't walked through many cities, but it's such a big congested city compared to Cleveland...which is literally a joke now after I been through that.

Thanks for the comments everyone

You should see NYC ;) Also, I live in the suburbs of Chicago so whenever I'm in the city its for pleasure or a Bulls game which is all business :shift

Great shots!

I just got back from Chicago myself (third week in a row that I had to go there). Unfortunately, whenever I go, I only see the airport, a hotel room and a meeting room. One of these days I will actually take a trip there just to hang out.

Kudos

Question, what settings did you use to make shot 2?

I like 2 & 5. I've found light posts or street signs to be very helpful to lean against when trying to stabilize the camera at slower shutter speeds (night).

And yeah, I'd totally rip my hair out if I had to live downtown. Once you get farther away from the loop it gets bearable though.

Nice shots!

That's what I ended up doing...I used a pole to lean against
