Power Steering Fluid?
Brake Fluid?
Differential Fluid?
Transmission Fluid?

What brand of fluid do I need? I plan to change them all once I reach 100,000 miles

Word of warning about the Super Blue brake fluid. It has a high affinity for moisture. You will need to do a complete system bleed every year to keep it from building up. It is good stuff though.

Eh? Link to info?
BTW- Brake fluid bleed should be done every year (or sooner) anyway.

I thought brake fluid was every 2 years or 30k. Granted I drove 30k a year so I was doing it every year anyway. Not a bad recommendation anyway.

Brake fluid - Super Blue Racing; brand is ATE. Other option is ATE Gold. Blue is nice so you can see when all the old fluid is out if you are currently running gold.

Not bad recommendations for others.

Pentosin is the factory option for the differential. I went with Mobil 1 in my differentials.

Not a bad idea to do transmission sooner if you can swing it. The less miles on an auto trans between fluid changes the better.

It is recommended to flush your brake fluid every other year. Super blue is every year. I had two quarts of it around for a while but I sold it because I know good and well that I won't flush my fluid yearly.

This I can attest to. I bleed my brakes before and after every track event with the Super Blue. It likes moisture for some reason, and I also have a little bit of a soft pedal after a hard day at the track. I would recommend Motul RBF600. Not cheap, but worth the price.

This. If you track your car, you really should bleed before and after a track event as that fluid gets pretty darned hot during all that hard braking. I'm on a track where there's only "light" braking required, yet my fluid still gets hot enough to give me a soft pedal until I bleed the brakes again.

Learn something new every day. Never heard of doing Super blue every year. But I'll be doing it now...

I used Red Line D4 ATF for the power steering, and Royal Purple Max Gear 75w90 for the diff.

Droid X. Tapatalk. Use it.
