If i wanted to detail/clean the shadowline trim, which detailing product should I choose? Vinyl/rubber care/protectant?
or does it belong to some other product category?

Thanks.

I read somewhere on E46Fanatics that its anodized aluminum. I don't remember where exactly though so I can't vouch for the validity.

Thanks.
so I wonder what everyone's using to clean/condition this when they detail the car...
I am going to post in Bimmerfest and see if i get more results.

Ask who you buy the shadowline from.....as they will know best...

?? The trim came standard on the car. But I know that it can be bought and put on ...Thanks - will check into that.

Yep. You can buy it after the fact, so check with vendors who peddle it. Let us know what you find out.

Seal it with Klasse AIO or similar. Polish it with a gentle polish first (depending on if it's the window trim or pillar trim) and go up just like on any painted surface. It will not absorb vinyl/rubber care treatment.

So....do you think a detailing spray would work....with a MF towel?

I think the sealant might be a good idea also....

Yeah if you don't have any water spots, just do a quick detailer and then sealant if you're going all out. I'd take pictures of all of this if I could find my car... can't seem to figure out where it went. ;)
