so today morning when i arrived to university i parked my zhp and as soon as i switched the ignition off an orange oil light suddenly came on and stayed on for like 5 to 8 secs when i looked the car what does this light mean ?

pretty sure that means you're low on oil, but I understand the sensor isn't very reliable so it's a good idea to verify with the dipstick before you fill up.

When that light comes on after shutting the car off, you need to top up.
My car surprisingly uses about a quart in between changes, so you may think that it's a relatively recent car and shouldn't require a top-up, but this isn't the case.
Usually by the time the light comes on, the oil level is below the low marking on the dipstick, so you should check your oil level every week or so.

Mine comes on all the time, even though I'm about 1/5 of the way below the top mark (compared to bottom mark). They're incredibly unreliable. My dads low oil light came on (while driving) and he was completely full (according to dip stick).

Orange??? I don't recall there being an orange lamp. It illuminates either red or yellow.

Yeah...he means yellow Spence. Looks kind of amber....

Yeah....red...is...."red"....so I knew he wasn't asking about "red". Orange is pretty close to amber/yellow.

I guess it is the sensor cause I checked the dip stick and it marks as full So thanks guys
