Hi everybody!
It's been like this for a month or so, and it's just now starting to bother me. My front passenger window no longer goes down. It sucks, but at least it's stuck in the closed position. When I press the button to make it go down, I can hear 'something' going on in there, but the window does not move. I haven't looked at the regulators for these windows, but if it's anything like my old maxima, that's likely the problem. I remember a strange pulley system with metal cables and the cable got all kinked up when it fell out of place. Considering I now have 2 windows that won't go down, I'm thinking this is a common problem. I haven't hooked it up to the computer yet because... long story short, my netbook died on me, and I haven't reinstalled everything yet. Since I can hear the motors working, can I assume those are not the problem? What's the best way to go about fixing this? I'm not too fond of the idea of removing door panels when they have airbags in them.

I did a regulator on my last E46 left rear. It wasn't bad at all. Everything is bolted once you get the door panel off. I'm thinking the air bag may be integrated in the door panel and you may be able to change the regulators without unplugging the panel once removed. The only thing that sucks is the regulators are really, really expensive. I had my body shop order the new regulator for me and used their discount. Hope this helps.

Tampa, I have never been in there but here (http://www.skene.org/bmw/window/index.html) is a write up. I am pretty sure there is one at ZHPmafia too (I'll look).

About the air bags, I think you need to disconnect battery before getting into it. Like that website indicates.

I can tell that my driver side regulator is on its way out. I'm waiting on ECS to get them in to order it.

Sent using Tapatalk on my rooted Droid. Wut?
