I emailed the seller through the Autotrader site but have not yet heard back.

If anyone is curious, the seller has only owned the car for the year, is unsure about the cooling system, CABs, and VANOS. The clutch is original. Seems like a picky guy, though, as he was apparently also very specific when looking for his car.

Hey, what do you guys think of this car? Is his price in the ballpark?

It is neat they come with an extra set of rims/snow tires if you need that, however I think snow tires start to show their age around 15,000 miles (which these tires have). I'd say 17,000 or less would be more realistic, 18,000 seems a bit high.

Thanks, good to know. I like the color and not bad mileage-66,000.

Ya with those miles for an '04, it's a bit under the average which is nice. To compare, I got my '04 with 63,000 for 16,500 just a few months ago. Although I hear California prices are a bit cheaper. If you really like the color / options (leather, etc) it might be worth it to pay more than expected. I waited a few months for the right deal and color combo, but time was not an issue when I was looking.

Maybe Marcus will chime in too, he knows his prices very well!

Got my eastie for $17.2k with 98k miles in August 2010.

I think it's a fair price. It's in Michigan, which may hurt the price, though (may be remote). But I think it's pretty close to fair value. I wouldn't expect to pay much less than $17k.

I thought about it, but it's just too far away for me. The seller seems like a really nice guy, though.

I may send him an email to ask if he'll part with the set of snow tires separately! I'm in need of a set for next winter!

I had an accepted offer from the owner and 8 hours later he emailed me with notification that he had accepted a higher offer with a wire transfer. There are no rules to the game. The hunt continues!!!

Well, that sucks.

Sorry, man. Keep at it.

It'll come.

Tim, that's the truth. No rules in this game.

Love the attitude, though. The hunt continues.

Boss...do you think this warrants sending the Posse out? Or should we hold em back?

I've had that happen to me before. Not two weeks later, I found an even better car for a better price and ended up hanging on to it for seven years.

Posse stand down.

All is fair in love and car selling/buying (unfortunately).

Hey guys, echo just picked up my baby. I am so glad that it went to someone that will really appreciate it. I wish I had known about this site before, you all have a lot of great info here. I think there may be another one in my future though, the ZHP has easily been my favorite car.

@tjason - sorry about that. I was honest with everyone and tried to communicate as things were happening. Good luck on your search!

Like I said earlier, all is fair in love and car selling. It is what it is. No worries.

Glad the car went to a good home.
