Yeah. The only issue is that since owning the e30 I've been completely anal about making sure the air filters are installed properly since this exact thing is so easy to do.

I also noted three of the six(ish) clips holding the airbox together weren't fastened.

I'm normally not THAT careless.

Only thing I can think is the guy that did the state inspection on my car in May looked in there to check out the filter. Sound like a stretch? :dunno

The only good thing that I can tout is I got to put in the K&N. DW totally hooked me up.

Your aFe is a dry filter or you want a dry filter? I'm assuming yours is the one on the aFe website that is oiled?

Now that I'm running with the K&N I've got two stock MANN filters just sitting all lonely on the shelf... If needed I'll be able to use them while I recharge the K&N...

My Dad's Nissan Pathfinder airbox cover is so easy to take it off there are two clips and thats it just take it. -.- And look at e46's
