Does anyone have one of these? :

I'd think this might come in handy for a long term owner. It's $287.00 on jlevistreetwerks.com, looks like a good investment if it works.

Found this same cable on ecstuning on sale for $22! I downloaded some custom obd reading software the other day, this might be worth trying since it's so cheap.

Bavarian Technic does a lot more. Its bi-directional and does more than just obtain codes. You can find used ones for $200 with two VINs left.

Nice, thanks! I'll see if I can get one of those since I only really need 1 vin. You wouldn't happen to know if you can change the door lock settings on it, would you? That'd be worth the cost right there.

In what way? Like auto locks after a certain mph? I haven't explored those options yet. I i was interested in obtaining like air to fuel ratios and such. My buddy had one for his 335 and he changes settings based on boost.

I had my car recoded with euro options recently but not sure what software it was.

Right, that lock after 8 thing is annoying. It'd be nice to be able to change it myself in addition to reading codes and data.
