I think the price is about right. Are these referred to as the "bottlecap" wheels?

I dunno, those were on my first car ('89 325i) and I'd have paid $100 for someone else to clean them!

Probably not worth much more. Good deal to pick up locally. Definately not worth 200+ with shipping. A local salvage yard wants over $200 for 4.

But I'd pick them up for winters if they were 4x100 and I was still DD'ing the e30.

Those are always on craigslist for dirt cheap. Not much of a deal unless they are close to you and you have an E36.

These will Not fit an e30 except a m3, or maybe an ix but I don't think the offset is right. They probably came off a e36 318 or something similar.

Yeah... I noticed they weren't 4x100 after my original post... so I went back to edit.

Bottlecaps = nearly valueless, which is why they're cheap. Nobody truly wants them as stylin' wheels.

These wheels are perplexing because E36 bottlecaps look slightly different than these (the spokes are more rounded than sharp) and only come in 15" for E36. E30's are 4x100, and E28 bottlecaps came in 6.5" width, not 6. E23+E24 is the same deal; came with 6.5 width. There technically shouldn't be a 14x6 wheels with 5 lugs.

Got that from a few posts above.

They are e23, e24, e28 wheels of which the clients searching for wheels, let alone those wheels, is minimal to none at this point in the game. They use to be higher in demand when more folks were rockin the Metric 390's which had the Michelin specific TRX tire on them at $225/ea. tire back in 1993, etc.!!! Clients wanted the straight up 14" bottlecaps to replace the metrics with since 14" tires are on every street corner. The older 5'ers, 6'ers continue to get older and the demand for most parts is (currently) on the decline. They'll come back up at some point in time when the rarity factors set in. $25-$50/ea. wheel is a fair market price within the salvage industry, $15/ea. is scrap value. :)
