5/10 - The hard artifacting could either be a byproduct of a cheap camera, or an intentional artistic decision made in postprocessing. If it's intentional then I'll say it looks neat. We like some text too, either overlaid on the picture, or accompanying it. Gorgeous car, though; incredibly sexy rims.

Just a suggestion about hiding license plates. I can understand why people do it, no one wants to put information like that out into the world. But it really isn't that difficult to get a tag number, anyone can see it when you drive.

So what I do is just copy paste one of my letters/numbers over top of the other one. That way it looks authentic and un-photoshopped, and you still have some privacy to your tag.

Perfect example is my sig below, that's not my exact plate number. It has been altered. :thumbsup

ok so I like it a lot, go set it up exactly the same but we will tweak 2 things for composition.

so here is what you have

using a 3rds grid you can see the majority of the car is dead center... sometimes this works in a symmetrical photo but here it could look a little better.

2 things we want to do. 1st we will have you step to the left a little bit so this line comes down the the 1/3rd marking here. The other corner of the road is perfect so aim for that same spot in the frame. this will also give us more length in how we see the car across the photo - thus filling more of the frame with the subject outside of the center box.

lastly, we want to offset the car in the frame just a little, with cars I tend to leave more space in front of them than behind because it leads the eye in a forward motion like the car is about to get there. for some reason it just is natural to want to see more of where it's going than where it's been.

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 800 by 250 pixels or 400.4 KB (whichever is smaller).

It could be as wide as mine, but mine is only about 75% of how tall it could be. IIRC, mine is only 189 pixels high

That Z4 coupe gets a 11/10, the rolling shot =+1, the black/white background +1, the blue hue from a flare around the wheels = +1.
(BTW, a friend at work has a Z4 coupe and I was telling him about the DTC button on the console, is it like ours, you hit it once and DSC is off?)

I'm also a fan of the right aligned sig...way to not conform ;)

I don't know about the Non-M Coupes...you might need to press and hold for 5 seconds to completely turn it off. On the M-Coupes, like mine once you press it once it's completely off, no brake light shows up either. Our DSC acts like the E46 M3's DSC when you press it once...there is extra room before it kicks in. That's why we don't have to go through the step of pressing it and holding it

ok so I like it a lot, go set it up exactly the same but we will tweak 2 things for composition.

so here is what you have

using a 3rds grid you can see the majority of the car is dead center... sometimes this works in a symmetrical photo but here it could look a little better.

2 things we want to do. 1st we will have you step to the left a little bit so this line comes down the the 1/3rd marking here. The other corner of the road is perfect so aim for that same spot in the frame. this will also give us more length in how we see the car across the photo - thus filling more of the frame with the subject outside of the center box.

lastly, we want to offset the car in the frame just a little, with cars I tend to leave more space in front of them than behind because it leads the eye in a forward motion like the car is about to get there. for some reason it just is natural to want to see more of where it's going than where it's been.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I didn't crop any off the picture in front of the car, that's it. However, I'll be sure to try those tips next time I go shoot some pics of my car. Most likely will be next time I'm home and after I install my new suspension, once I figure out which springs I'm getting.. Still stuck between eibach supersports and H&R race.

Good info... As for the diptychs, I like the idea, but I feel like its two separate images. I'd rather one shot with both cars in it. Maybe i can do each separate and then overlay them on top of each other. Might be interesting ... We'll see what the next few days produce.

I have to be honest, I don't get why a lot of people do the racks... Is it a style thing I don't know about? I will say though DW, love the idea of the basket and carrying your own spare wheels.
