Looking for discussion on the below rims, for me. Thanks

NOTE: BBS's are basically twice the price...and weigh more....so I am having a hard time moving that way...though I know the name preceeds itself, and is an above reproach, quality rim.

It's between these and the BBS CK's...

MIRO
22lbs ET35F, ET38R 18x8F, 18x9R

BBS

I have to go with the BBS wheel (CK). I am not a fan of BBS LM knockoffs.

Are the BBS CH wheels not in the running?

And I wonder how these would look on your car:

Dane those Miro are great rims. I saw them up close this past weekend. I thought they looked really good. I am getting these on the vert (Marcus knows why).

I have heard good things about them. I have CH reps on my car and they work for me.

LM's look great but have to be in a 19. 18 will look too small.

You think I could pull off black rims?

CH's are not in the running.

And you guys can ignore me. Everyone in San Diego knows how I feel about knockoffs (even my good friends, such as Gary, get a hard time from me).

I really like those Miros'. Cost less, look good, weigh less. HOW-EV-VA, Marcus and a few others are starting to win me over on the whole knock-off thing. Our cars deserve the real mccoy. But, who really cares when you're looking at a great set of wheels on a beautiful car? But still, it's got me thinking'....

Understand that my dislike for knockoffs is mostly for this reason: the build quality is inferior (some of them are downright garbage). I've seen a lot of knockoffs (on the Internet and in person) get ripped on potholes that would not have done the same damage on a genuine product. I don't know anything about the build quality of these Miros, by the way.

A secondary reason (and kind of a minor thing that has everything to do with the owners who do this): slapping a BBS badge on a knockoff is not my thing. I have friends who do this. Buying knockoffs is one thing. Slapping the wrong badge on it is another thing. It's akin to putting an M3 badge on a car that has been made to look like an M3 (but isn't).

So, I find knockoffs to be of inferior quality. That's my main reason for objecting to them.

Miros out of the two listed. But I would go with D-Force Empowers.

BBS CH's get my vote. If you do go with the Miro's, get M3 offsets. Those non-M offsets are weak and will have small lips.

Big lips and major concavity only happen with low offsets and/or wide wheels (10" or wider).

What about the Apex ARC-8 group buy?

They are 18x8....all the way around...with 225's....square. Pretty conservative setup. I have 10mm Spacers coming from TMS. Next set of tires will be 235's most likely....but wanted to see what was up with this setup first.

Good job going with BBS. The CK's look reminiscent of the zhp wheel, but with less spokes and minus the parallel spokes.

Did you run any spacers w/ the Enkeis?

Only has 3mm's up front. The BBS's will give me 3mm more room in the rear...so...I should be able to keep my 3mm up front and should be able to fit my new 10mm's from TMS in the rear.Especially since I am going from 235's to 225's. Like I said though...next set will likely be 235's.

Didn't you want forgestar F-14's? I've wanted them since about November...I just didn't want to buy the same ones you were looking at and be "that guy" lol. Miro's aren't bad at all, better quality than other common knockoff's like ASA and ADR brands.
