Hey guys. I'm ammending my search criteria, looks like I might try to do this again.
Here is what I'm looking for.

Year(s): 04-05 (03 just scares me thinking the bank I am getting a loan from will not let me go 48 or 60 months)
Budget: under $20k
Desired location of vehicle: I'm in Chicago but willing to travel or have vehicle shipped for the right car.
Desired Mileage: 70k or less
Transmission type: Either
Desired number of Doors: 4 - ***must be a sedan
Desired Color combos: IR preferred or Silver Grey - maybe white if someone has one, only seen 1 or 2 of them in my life.
Desired Packages: cold weather is a must. Would love HK prem pkg and all that too though. Navi would be bonus too.
Funds lined up? Need to finalize financing on it because I'm not sure how much to borrow yet but I should be easily qualified so it'd be a matter of a few days.
Have a car you need to sell first? Possibly

Thanks
-Seth

well I'd love that silver one from Cali if retrofitting heated front seats wasn't too much $$. I'm good friends with the owners of a pretty nationally reputable shop out here, maybe I should ask them if they can do it.

Looks to be about $500 in parts... and I'm sure Marcus or somebody else in SD area can check it out to vouch for this car :)
and I do have a bit more negotiating room. I'm leaving next month for Afghanistan, so if it's not gone by then, she'll be in storage.

bump, expanding my price range but also narrowing the amount of miles I'd like to see on the car.

Yo, check out the '04 IR in Ohio with just 19k miles that was posted by ecrabb on the classifieds.

Higher than your budget but if you are prepared to spend upto $20k, I think it is well worth considering shelling out a few more to get such a low mileage car that is as close to getting a new car. :)

btw, you post on e46 fanatics also, right? I was puzzled by your response in one of the threads.

PS: Isn't this site 100 times better than that site?

I'm out of the market again, owe too much on my car to trade in and even Carmax was $5k short of what I needed... depreciation on a 1 yr old car sucks ass. Especially knowing they'd price it for only $4-5k less than sticker... I owe way less than that.

What do you have to sell and why not just post it on Craigslist and see what happens?

My 135i.

I think the buyout is too high for the market value right now unfortunately. I mean I'll keep trying but it's not something that is going to happen overnight so no use in planning on something to replace it yet.

Post the stats on your 135 and I'll compare to recent Manheim activity and report back. Need model year & mileage. I'll assume it's in excellent condition.

Is it a lease you'd need to buy your way out of or what?

UdubBadger

Pay attn to the numbers at the lower left and bear in mind these numbers do not take into account color, options, or transmission type.
