My intentions were to take a few pictures for the car of the month "sky theme" contest, but mother nature didn't give me much to work with today. I'm pretty happy with a few of them so I figured Id start a thread. I think I'm ready to start shopping for some glass. The "decent at everything" but great at nothing lens that come w/ my D5100 isn't so hot.
I'm starting a 6 week photography class in Sept. so I will probably wait until I learn a bit more before I invest... Anyway, enjoy. C&C welcome. Feel free to kick my ass, I'm trying to get better so...

Ah, makes sense now that you say that. Sure looks black in some photos. Whatever color, it's beautiful.

great color, one of bmw's best imo! nice shots as well. that last one in the sun especially. that blue just pops in the direct sunlight.

Really nice shots IMO. The first two's shooting location is awesome!

And personally, I think your 3rd shot would be great in the contest. It's a perfect pretty blue sky with a perfect pretty blue car. Only critique would be the shadows on the front end of the car.
