Guys,
I have no idea what these are worth, genuine BBS wheels with excellent Michelin tires. The wheels are in excellent condition too, the only marks on them are from the tire mounting (i.e., miniscule and you'll miss them when you first look at them, won't catch it until you wash them, as I have). The tires are between 8-9/32nds tread (10/32nds in brand new), the PO told me less than 3K miles, I put another 1K on them. Toss me some ideas on what I should price these for (plus it will help me fund future mods). Would prefer a local DC area transaction so I don't have to get into shipping but if you want them, let's talk. They are 17" x 8", the offset is not marked on them anywhere but they fit a E46 just fine, probably on the conservative side (i.e., you could go to much wider tires without any problems).
Thx,
Bruce

What is your asking price, sir?

Botond,
I'm the same guy who just sent you brake rotors & pads, for just the price of shipping. Not looking to get rich on these wheels, just a fair price. I know they retail for $300 each, but they're used. And with their <17 lbs weight, guys who track like these, I would think that's your interest. I have another set that I bought from the PO with winter tires on them (I know that's sacrilegious to put them through that duty, but they are also pristine and the Michelin Alpins are new so I'm keeping that set). So with that said, I suspect you don't give a darn about the tires even though they're nearly new. Toss out an offer, the worst I can say is no thanks. And if you don't want the tires, tell me that too.

They're worth at least $1000 for the setup. Don't get low balled.

Okay, lets look at original on 4 wheels was $1200, tires were probably $600, so $1800 total. For the family, I'll take half that, $900 + shipping but would really prefer a local pickup cause I don't want to package these things.
Thx,
Bruce

$900 + Ship or pickup is a steal for 4 new tires and 4 9.8/10 BBS rims.

Bruce,
I wasn't asking for me, I was just asking you to throw the price out there. I already have a track set of wheels that I bought loooooong ago (when I still have money from the E30 sale). I agree, it is a nice set, and that is a very generous "family" price. I'm sure you will get a sale very soon at that price...

Good luck!

Botond,
Confusion on my part, apologize. Yeah, just hope to see these go to a good home for their intended purpose. And if there's no serious interest, Maybe I'll buy a set of winters and put these on my wife's ZHP so she can drive some in the winter without freaking out about her 135s.

No worries Bruce!
I agree about not using the 135s in the winter. PITA to keep clean!

If you're looking for a set of track wheels...then you've found the right thread. These will fit ZHPs and other varieties of Non-M e46s.

I sold the tires today (to a Toyota owner), I'll dismount them tomorrow. So the wheels are still available for $500 for the family.

Nixtfy,
Sent you some photos from my iPhone.

Justin -- WOW! Unmounted, you can just about pick these BBS-RK wheels up with one finger, they are so darn light. I'm guessing that when I switched to the ZHP wheels I probably increased the weight on each corner by 50%.

Eddie,
The wheels are still available, $500 + shipping (shipping is about $25 per wheel).

The tires are actually still available too although they've been dismounted. Someone local paid for the tires, asked me to dismount them, then changed his mind. $300 for the tires + shipping.

I need new winter rims, but part of what I love about my current winter rims is that I don't care about them. These, I'd have to care about quite a bit!

Wheels were sold tonight to Eddie (Paypal received), please change the title to SOLD. Most can't justify buying used tires because of shipping costs, I'll try listing the tires locally on CL.

What size are they Bruce? And they are Winters or Summers? I'll be interested in them if you wanna hold them. If you need to move them, by all means go for it :)

Eddie, pal, you got some killer wheels for your e46! Can't wait to see pics on your ride!

Justin,
Tires are Michelin Exalto summers, 225/45x17, 8-9/32nds all around, perfectly even wear, one has a patch.

Also, another set of BBS-RKs, 17 x 8, with Michelin Alpins (winter) at 9/32nds tread, again 225/45x17.

I'm liquidating.

I had been looking for all of yesterday and today, and a google search brought me here.
They're actually going on my e36 M3! Bruce, did you say you have a second set to sell??

Eddie,
I put my touring & my pickup both up for sale, whichever one sells then I'm keeping the other one. So the other set of BBS-RKs are only for sale if the touring goes first. If the pickup sells first, I'm keeping the other wheels because they are the winter set. The set of wheels you bought were the summer wheels, they are in pristine condition while the winter set shows a little bit of the effects of winter use.

Bruce, if you are so unfortunate as to part with the touring (I miss mine!), I'd be happy to buy your winters. Better yet, put them on your 'vert; your wife will thank you! :)

2 quick questions... can you post apic of the car with the RK's on? I know they're sold, just havent seen many e46s with them..

And the BMW center caps in them--those were stock center caps that fit in there?

Thx

sna77,
Last question first, no the stock BMW center caps do not fit, you have to buy center caps from BBS.

And a couple of photos:

So.....you have to buy BMW roundels from BBS? Is that pretty much true with all BBS wheels?
