Sold locally in Albuquerque for full asking price. Go figure :-)

This ad was just re-posted to my local craigslist. It's out of my price range, and has an automatic, so I'm not really interested. Still, looks like a super clean car for someone else.

I bought my ZHP in ABQ last October. Based on my chats with the PO and the BMW dealer I think it's safe to say that getting top dollar there - even for a low mileage car - is going to be a major challenge.

A major challenge. I'd suspect that demand is weak there. What's more, the economic backdrop won't support that kind of price. Very likely the buyer will come from outside NM.

I'd expect $19k-$20k will be the final price.

i know in the desert black interior hurts but something about beige just ruins a nice sporty car to me.

The person doesn't know how to spell Manhattan Beach either.

Those pictures were not taken in Manhattan Beach. That's a desert background. More NM than Manhattan Beach.

well the owner could be trying to work 2-3 markets to get it sold... who knows.

I think the problem is that the seller says the location is Manhattan Beach. But, yes, I do get it. Trying to sell into the LA market. And, hey, maybe the seller maintains two residences -- one in NM and on in CA.

The owner just emailed me to tell me that the car sold locally here in Albuquerque for the full asking price. I asked him about the LA ad (which is now deleted), but I haven't heard back yet. I'll post if he replies (just for kicks).

He's getting a new Porsche for his next toy.

As suspected, he lives in both Albuquerque and LA (Hermosa Beach). The car sold in Albuquerque though.
