If your tranny has green label...use MT-90. If it has no label....use MTL. Mine has no label. Here...look through these. The Redline is about half way down page. Read the notes.

The above quote is taken from post #12 in this thread HERE (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?4618-ZHP-100k-overhaul/page2). Thought the topic might warrant its own thread.

My manual greabox has a couple of labels on it, one of which is yellow and is the "Liftetime Fill" sticker. Clean and clearly legible on the right side of the housing. On the left side is a faded white-ish sticker that has nothing legible on it. Def no green label anywhere, so I'm assuming I'm ok with the Redline MTL but I'm wondering:

Are there 2 different 6-speed gearboxes in these cars or is the "green label" box simply the older E46 5-speed manual?

What year is yours? I looked up the M/T fluid specs in All Data for my 2001 with a m/t and it just says MTF-LT2. Thats OE spec anyways...

Edit: Oops, if talking diff fluid, again, OE spec just says SAF-XO

The recommendations from your post seem to be for aftermarket fluids.
