I know some of you aspire to 911 ownership, so here you go:

I was just alerted to the availability of this car. For a (very) short time, it will still be available directly from the owner, a friend of mine, for $33k.

As of recently, it is located in Santa Monica but all post-warr service performed at Ruf's US facility in Dallas.

If it's a RUF...where are the RUF badges?

I don't know what the criteria is for the badging. I'm guessing it's like Dinan where you need to hit a certain threshold of mods before you get the badge. Also, this one does not have motor mods. Or maybe it just don't need no stinking badges...

Looks nice but I agree with Hornung418.

It might have a few RUF items but I don't think you can consider it a "RUF" as I see nothing about an engine conversion, suspension upgrades, brakes or an aerokit - all things that make up a true RUF.

for $33k I would hope for the owners sake it doesn't have the motor upgrades cuz that selling price is pretty close to what a conversion costs

RUF is a RUF. The only thing that is the same is the chassis.

from reading the page it only looks like it has RUF pedals and carpets. It seems to just be a 996 Carrera with a few add ons.

although this is not even a close comparison, I would rather have this car they are also selling... 2011 Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS, less that 6000 miles ($153k)

Let's not jack up this guys F/S thread.

There may be some inaccuracies. Understood. Maybe OP can get clarification.

Even in the ad it says "Ruf pedal set", so it doesn't appear to be claiming it's a Ruf.

no but the title says its a RUF coupe.

Guys, relax. You can see the details at the link above. There is very little time for someone to take advantage of buying directly from the owner. As such, I posted in a rush, thinking maybe someone here might be able to pounce on it.

No misrepresentation intended.
