Nice! Where did you put the aux again?

Upper left hand corner of the sunglass tray. Great spot for it as an iPhone with cord lays down nicely in there and you just close the little door and nobody knows it's there.

Getting set up, gotta have IT on deck as this was my first attempt at these items on the bimmer.

Parts oh yea!

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i401/bslotterbach/DSC_0325.jpg
Before...that damn plastic pulley was seized onto the pump. That was the hardest part of the job is getting that damn thing off. Some WD40 and a couple blunt force wacks with a hammer and off she flew.

Much more coolant then I thought blew out when I removed the original water pump but luckily I had some towels covering the belts. Highly recommend a lot of towels as it was messy.

The plastic OEM on the left and the good metal one on the right.

In ya go.

Almost done, belts back on, torqued down and looking sweet.

Complete, except almost forgetting to plug the lines back into the fan..oops. ha

Super big props to 330Ci.net for the diy, it was super easy and actually fun to do this. Now my car cranks heat like no business and I can sleep knowing the w/p won't implode due to the plastic impeller.

Nice job! And yes, that's a great DIY. Used that one myself the first time on the 325.

Is that the Graf water pump?

Is that the Graf water pump?

Good question Keith..I honestly don't know. Duh right? I got it from Bavarian and I think it's made by Wasser? I think it might be OEM with an upgraded impeller. I know Bimmerzone has the Graf, but Bavarian really doesn't specify. I just know I needed one without the plastic. And after reading your maintenance thread I got the URO aluminum pulley. Thanks for that! That's why these maintenance threads are so valuable.
I'm doing the coolant overhaul in two stages. My hoses seem fine and my expansion tank appears fine as well, so I will replace them in a year or two when I do the next coolant flush.
