Hey everyone!

Most of you know me from Bimmerforums.

Here's mine 2005 330i ZHP 6 speed Imola Red/Alcantara. It is kind of unique because it does not have Premium Package like most all BMWs. I bought it almost 3 years ago now and have done lots of maintenance and there are a fair share of mods I have done to it. It has never seen snow, and sadly its going away in storage in a week or two :(

Anyway enough of that, heres the pics :)

although most ZHP'S do not have the Premuim Pkg ($2200) you did not get alot for that amount of $. mine has it (window sticker) even as I see ZHP's for sale, most sedan's I come across do not have it. Mostly on the coupes/conv. telltale sign is Leather with Power Lumber.

I would kill to have lumbar. KILL. I had back surgery in October and I need this feature. What else comes with the premium package anyway?

I guess I'm confused what you're trying to say. I am happy mine doesn't have it cuz its a lot of $ for not much. Also it is rare for a US car to not have it. The 2 main ways I know mine doesn't have it is the manual dim mirror, u twist the clown nose. Also mine is an 05 which if it had Premium Pkg it would have Bluetooth. mine doesn't have Bluetooth....the one thing I would have wanted.....sigh.

Very clean IR Zhp.

I believe the all the early 2003 ZHP's did not come with the premium package. Mine sure didn't.

I dont have Lumbar Support but I have ZCW, so I have Heated Seats. Dane on your seat, you have the round control that has the 4 adjustments for Lumbar? I thought you couldnt have Lumbar Support on BMW sports seats??

Moonroof also became standard in 2005. So I got mine that way hehe. :D

As a reminder to all...if you could try to remember to post your sig.....only one time per thread....that would be great. We are trying to work through some site speed issues.

Thanks

Actually, Dane, my reading suggests that posting a signature just once per thread is not going to make a difference. Making the signatures smaller is a difference maker, though.

Therefore, feel free to post your signature throughout.

Remember, guys, if you ever want to know what options your car came with, you can always email BMW. A couple of days later, they'll email you the results.

per my window sticker: Premium package $2200 includes Leather, BMW assist, auto-dim I/S mirror, power Lumbar support., not alot of stuff for the $.

Considering the cost to buy each part OEM from the dealer and install it yourself, that's not too bad of a price for all of it.
It's kind of like the Sport package contents (I'm talking regular, not ZHP); just a few pieces of the package would cost more than the whole package itself.

Yup...the mirror alone would set him back $550.00

I would kill to have the auto-drip ...dim mirror and the lumbar support! I could see eventually getting the auto dim mirror, but the lumbar will always be too much for me to justify....

I could see eventually getting the auto dim mirror....

Why would you do this?

pyreguy
01-04-2011, 03:52 PM
I like them. BUT you also have to know that when I picked up the car and drove it 8 hours back home at NIGHT I didn't know that you could just twist the clown nose to dim the mirror. I just drove 12 hours one way to go see David and his crew in NC and it was never an issue because now I know (and knowing is half the battle. The other half is violence)

But I would have liked to look up and see what cardinal direction I was going at that particular time and the compass is available on the auto dim mirrors.

Do I NEED this? No.

Will I eventually get this? Maybe. I am not as resistant to wild hairs as most people...

I would kill to have the auto-drip ...dim mirror

Easy DIY and easy to find them used. I have one from a 1999 E46 in my car for >5 years now, still going strong. I bought it from a Fanatic (IIRC) for about $100 shipped back then.

I didn't order my car with premium either cuz I didn't want BMW assist and didn't care about bluetooth. I did order black cow though.

Wow, my first post!

I had the auto-drip in the 325. It was nice to have, but I was always wondering when I was going to come out and find my nice interior stained with leaking fluid.

Miss it a little, but glad I don't have to worry about out anymore.

I take it the "auto-drip" name has a reason?

Yeah....they have been known to not hold their fluid very well....ruining the interior of said car. It just happened on my buddies zhp....

Used to be a lot worse between 2001-2004. Do a Google search of M3 mirror leak liquid. Corrosive.

I'm on the hunt for a clean M3 rear view mirror that does not have any sign of going bad. I have a contact that says he might have one this weekend for me.
