For hood and trunk roundel replacing.......use an old credit card.......slide said CC between the body and the roundel....then use a small standard screwdriver to pry it up and out. Yes.....the proper tool would be a trim removal tool....but who has that stuff? This is the proper method to remove both hood and trunk. The grommets may stay in the car...or come off with the roundel.

I used a paint can opener for the final pry....just make sure u keep the plastic card under the back of the prying device! And go slow...
