Style 71 rims FTW!!!!!
Automatic is a buzzkill but he's 78, he doesn't want to shift..:)

He got inspired because I now have 2 E46's and he sold his 1969 Stingray on Wedneday without me knowing and said find me a bmw convertable auto for under $20k. So of course I looked for a ZHP vert but no dice. Found this bad boy up a Paul Miller Audi in north Jersey and drove up yesterday. Great dealer and man Audi has some fine cars I must say.

I haven't driven my ZHP in two weeks and man if felt awesome crusing along 78 then 287 up there. I Forgot how great the ZHP runs on an open highway. Anyway here are the dealer pics for now....

Nice! Let the modding begin.

EDIT: in the third picture it looks like the DRL's have been replaced with tinted H7's... yellow flash to pass!

The 69'er was hot for sure, but it's from 1969 so that means constant money going into the thing for eternity. He purchased it for $23k sold it for $29k two years later.. Pretty good return on investment I must say. Folk's out there really do like their corvette's..I can't imagine paying thirty grand for a 40 year old vette that has no heat and battery drain that nobody could figure out, but hey the guy that bought it has a big bank account so it's going to a better home.

I'm going to be doing a bunch of maintenance items to it next weekend. The usual stuff like fluids, wp, plugs etc..nothing major.

Funny story. So we pulled out of the dealer and had to make a 180 degree u turn. So I got in the left lane and he was following behind me. Um, but you can't make a left hand turn in Jersey at a light..I forgot about that oops. You have to find a circle or some other engineering design marvel to go left and god forbid if someone would let you back in the right lane. So I got over and I look in my rear view to see if my dad followed and he almost collides into some car as he swerves right then left then right again..horns blazing and all :facepalm 500 ft from the dealer he almost wrecks the thing. But after that fail, it was smooth sailing home.

Cool story and dad. The 1969 american cars are some of the most desirable car on the market, this was the peak of the horse power wars because in 1970 the emissions equipment laws came into effect and the carmakers couldnt make the same power with the restrictions.
